I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to discuss this particular effect or not. If you can suggest something better, please advise me. Until then....
Here is something I have never seen before that has totally befuddled me. What do you think?

Here is a nice handling (but it is a video). It would be nice to be able to do it live.
This effect is new to me. Hope my posting stimulates some conversation in the community.

I own the John Rogers version of the Freer puzzle and do a routine called the Devil's Puzzle, in which Old Nick challenges me to solve it.

The original Freer puzzle is quite expensive! Perpetual Puzzle by Tenyo will do the job for now!

Build one yourself following Freer's plans on The Magic Nook Mini-Mysteries Book 1. Make the prototype from cardboard and if you like it, make the next one from expensive exotic woods... or not.
