Does anyone know if this comes in a DVD instructional form?
I know of sources with a video description. Thanks in advance. Sorry if I placed this in the wrong area. Harris

Hi Harris!
Got your PM...tried to respond, got a MAIL-DAEMON rejection...so I went to your website and emailed ya... Don't know if DVD's of Jerry Andrus' "Lifetime Of Magic" have been made yet or not. I have all three of the VHS tapes, and "Mylar Mystery", "Zone Zero", and "Perfect Package" are on Vol 1, all using that little yellow ball. Cheers! Doug |

Doug,
I got the message. Thanks for taking the time to go the extra mile. Thanks for visiting the nearly normal web site. Harris

Are you guys refering to Zone Zero by Jerry Andrus? This is a unusual effect where Jerry would take a ball and put it through a hole cut out of a flat plank. He would show both sides. He then would pluck his hand into this whole and the ball would come out.

That's what they're talking about.

Yes, the "Lifetime of Magic" videos are indeed currently available on DVD (I've been eyeing them at my local magic shop recently... another entry on my Big List of Things I Covet). -- Jake

I did get volume one video, and also found a great manuscript that goes into detail of Zone Zero,
perfect package as well as some great stuff with coins and cards. Keep creating and be safe. Harris

I bought a used zone zero and did not get the same little ball. I have played around with an 8-ball, a raquetball ball, a fakini 2" ball, and a 2 steel ball. Does anyone have any thoughts on different balls and different suggestions/difficulties to overcome etc. with Zone Zero?

My "zone" arrived with no ball at all. I have been using a regular rubber play ball that is about 3 inch or so in size. Seems to work well enough. Its all about how visible the ball can be versus the potential of flashing during the trick.
My favorite variation so far involves using a topit to do a final complete vanish at the end of the routine. Its a very clever idea. Long live Jerry Andrus effects!
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."

The ball I use is a glow-in-the-dark, 2.5 inch juggling ball. I also experimented with 2.5 inch rubber balls I got at Walgreen's (local drug store), in the toy section.
So far, the silicone, glow-in-the-dark, 2.5 inch juggling ball works best for me. It LOOKS weird, and I weave a strange tale around it and my black, plexiglas board that ACME Plastics custom-made for me. To this day, it's my favorite effect I own. Doug |

You don’t need a ball, Anything you can hold while putting/taking will work - especially for a surprise finish (hint)
Ive thought about using it like a blendo.
