Hi, Has anyone purchased this yet, Nick Lewin’s Nightmare 3-2-1 Rope Trick

I bought it - it's an excellent commercial routine. I bought this so that I could just get acquainted with the routine and method. I will not use this, since I'm doing a different version of the rope.
But this is an excellent commercial routine - the difficulty level is a beginner! I love the classical magic of Nick Lewin!
I love the magic & history of magic! My favorites magicians - Dai Vernon, Max Malini, Fielding West, Michael Finney, Jeff Hobson, Bob Sheets, Nick Lewin, Harry Murphy, Dick Oslund- great showmen of magic!

The Conway Rope thick was a printed sheet of instructions sold by Ken Brooke, it is actually only the finish for Professor Nightmare Rope Trick, or as in England they call it Equal Unequal Rope Trick.
If you want to finish Professor Nightmare joining the 3 ropes into one long rope at the end, it is a good method. If you know how to start with one length of rope and cut them in front of the audience to have the single rope, turn into 3 ropes of different sizes, the you would have a trick that goes full circle, by ending with the Conway method. A method for the cutting was published in Magigram magazine by Supreme Magic in the 1970's.I think is was Fabian, but don't hold me to it. |

Bill - how do you feel about the very routine of a nightmare professor.
This is too short an effect, so I never used it. Maybe you saw who does this very interesting, it would be nice to hear your opinion? Of course - this should be accompanied by an interesting story, this is half the success.

Ken had used the Karl Germaine "set up" to begin The rope was C&R 3 times, then, using Slydin's method (in one of his books, we could make two cuts, and get a nitemare set up. After the nightmare, we finished with a restoration, (before the Conway was published). Denny "broke the record" at Abbott's for the number of spools of rope sold in one order. I was not far behind! I used it to open the high school program.

My book GIVE A MAGICIAN ENOUGH ROPE has my version of the Conway, that Ken Brooke was going to market as THE NEMO ROPE TRICK, but he, sadly, died and never sold it.
