In case anyone from the Seattle or Portland areas is interested, Penguin Magic is hosting a live expo in Seattle on December 9 and in Portland on December 10. For more info, go to these links:
December 9: Seattle, WA http://penguinmagic.com/p/7864?r=245580 December 10: Portland, OR http://penguinmagic.com/p/7865?r=245580 The past three expos they have had in Seattle have been in a hotel just north of Seattle. That's where this one will probably be, too. The registration is $20, but you get a $10 coupon to use there, and last time, they gave people a deck of cards (each person got one, not one deck for all the people). |

I checked out the trailer for this. It appears as though it is mostly for close up magic. Do you know if there will be stage magic for sale as well?
Thanks much. |

Last time, there were some items that could be used on stage, but yes, most of the items sold work better for close-up. Mark Mason generally as items for sale that will work for stage.

Looking at registration this one is south of city, more near the airport. I went to one earlier this year, and really enjoyed it. The mini-lectures were well worth it (most were demos of the items being sold: but gave your you chance to see them in action and you got to pick up some great tips).
Only down side is, I have limited will power in such situations. Despite being warned to set a spending limit, I went well past mine...lots of great stuff there.

The venue this time is near the airport. Not only is Christopher Taylor going to be there, but Michael Weber will give a one hour mini-lecture, too. Should be a good one!
