Well, if he sees himself as a success, then I guess more power to him. Personally I wanted to laugh at him for undertaking such a silly task. If he had planned to fail to make a point... Well, I am not a huge fan of that style of performance art, but at least I could see that.
I think he made a fool of himself and then came up with a story to try and save face.

Although the article title described him as an 'Escape Artist,' it looks like that description was merely a way to get people interested enough to click and view. He's described in the actual video as a performance artist. His 'act' looks a lot more like performance art than escape as well. It's probably fair to say that he didn't do this as an escape attempt, but as a work of symbolism, illustrating the futility of escaping history.

I bet he can sell his marble clippings as art now though. Now if he had been body searched and sneaked the happier and chisel in I would have been impressed. Looks like he was nearly there to be honest.
Still at least he's better than some I won't name.....you know who they are..... |

I'll bet the marble slab with the chain still attached is in a gallery somewhere.

Now that was an engaging read and a bit of a testament to ingenuity. Of course pudding in my neck of the woods would be utterly useless, but would make a tasty dessert while I'm freezing to death. I wonder if he could free himself from a block of marble?
