It's alive....not really. I just finished up my Jacobs ladder, sounds like the old Frankenstein movies.

Nice. I made one from a kit but it was quite temperamental. It worked for a while but needed constant repair. Quite a bit of power needed.

Looks like you have some unintentional arcing there to the side.
Still impressive, but you need to dirty up the hand. I have a ladder I made from just a neon sign transformer, a plastic base(a must), and some metal rods. It works great, but it's terrifying. Don't touch it if you want to live. Randi |

A friend of mine made one from a neon sign transformer...I wanted to stick to DC. I will dirty up the appendage but I need a hand...I couldn't resist.
