I love my l@na books! its amazing how versatile they are! I use an old photo with mine, by the end of the performance, I have the girl describing the girl in the photo almost to a "T"! so you can imagine the response when I finally show her the photo!!

Since my last post, I performed L*n@ 1935 & '36 at my sister's and her husband's in Boston. My other sister (from Calif) was there with her husband. She was the one that was bothered by it. My Boston sister just told me she had NO idea I could do that!
My sister from California is a staunch Catholic, and VERY religious. She hasn't communicated with me since returning. It scared her husband (Chuck). He thinks I'm "possessed"! Ha! My Boston sister's husband (John) was overjoyed to see these people react like this! He said he would have PAID to see a reaction like that from Chuck. The guy is in his 80's, and is pretty set in his ways. John said Chuck really got put in his place that night! A very powerful reaction for so little effort! Yeah...this is new territory for me. All the magic tricks I have ever done in 40 years has never gotten reactions like this! And to think I still have 1934 and P*@rly G@tes yet to master! "So Dark" really helped me with this. "So Dark" should be mandatory, before picking up The L*n@ Series. I would not have done as well without it. Thanks to Michael MacDonald, I have a folder with add-ons, photos, artifacts, etc. that are MOST valuable (to me anyway). Getting the emotions from the spectators is so easy with this. The story really sells itself. Maybe the reason I relate so well, is I spent nearly a YEAR at The Hope House in Bangor, Maine. A lunatic asylum disguised as a "homeless shelter". Violent, drug-induced residents; there are 100 of them! Male & female. I can virtually "see" C0ln*y H@tch because of that. Now that I have L*n@, I would not trade that year for anything! I guess the question should also be asked: "Is it normal for ME to cry"? Doug |

Yes doub it is normal to cry if your really selling it. the more real you make it in your mind the more real it becomes to the sitters. I posted a bit about this on the outlaw forum yesterday. you have just scratched the surface of what you can get from the books. by the way added a few more items to my set that I'm in the process of aging lol.

Hey, it can work both ways here. Emotional to make 'em cry, or have to change their underwear! "That's Just Wrong" posted in the other thread about having to pass out BVD's! LMAO!! Well, I just got P*@rly G@tes today. I'm gonna work on the spooky aspect for this Hallowe'en.
I've decided not to mark my books at all. As has been said, it really isn't necessary (unless you want to). Now I guess the only thing left is the wooden box. It doesn't have to be a H0bb's B0x, because I'm going to get Tim W. to make me a custom system. I just gotta get that bell... Doug |

Hi again! May I add:
It is normal for people to cry when taken to such emotional extremes. My problem is bringing them back, and letting them down gently. I seem to leave them hanging, as I did my sister and her husband. He's always known me to be a bit twisted, but Carol...she just emailed me this morning. She wrote, "Don't ever do anything like that again! I worked in a mental hospital (insane asylum) in training as a nurse. I have seen first hand, the things you mentioned! Now, I see you have those registries...Doug, you need to get RID of those! They are possessed by evil! You could be in great danger!" OMG! Can you believe that? I should have been able to bring her back to some sanity, but I didn't. I guess it's been bothering her. Hey, I'm not being cruel here, but, good! Religious fanatasism caused this. When one puts all their energies into a questionable religion, this is the result. I know very well, the dangers of playing with the Occult. That is not the issue here, but she thinks it is. I guess they were the wrong subjects. Ya need a bit of a sense of humor, and an open mind to participate in something like this. She and her husband have neither. I'm thinking I need to watch some Mentalists at work to see how to bring the sitter back gently, and make them feel rewarded for participating. I guess it's up to me to figure out... Doug |

Dougini: In Voodini's Midnight Side of the Mind, he explains techniques for bringing a sitter back from remove viewing or past life regression experiences. I think they would be applicable here.

Hey everyone...
I am getting back into my L*n@ stuff again. Is there a chache of the outlaw forums? Or some other secret forum with discussions about performance? All the Best, Marco
