I am interested in a review of the Holy Grail coins across routine by Chad Sanborn. Here is a link to the site. http://store.yahoo.com/magicmusicandmore-store/hogrchsa.html As you can see, it is a download (I assume PDF). I know that coins across routines have been talked about a lot at the Café. But I didn't find any reference to this one and wonder how it compares to Daryl or others. So, if you know about this one, please provide a review. Thanks!

I did a Café search using the words-holy grail. Most of the related topics are in reference to a card trick with that name. But there were some comments on this one. Apparently it is a coins across...not a 3-Fly routine. What I was originally looking for was a 3-Fly routine.

This is also explained in his Mindbender DVD. Its worth a look. There is a particular vanish I liked, which is kind of HPC like move. Its a creative routine. I didn't like the rubberband routine along with the DVD. There is also a spoon bending routine, which has some creative thinking. But I have accustomed to my own routine so much that I wouldnt want to change it.

I loved the 'Holy Grail' this looks like 'real' magic and fooled me badly...It takes a lot of work(break it down in stages)but is well worth the final presentation...

Harishjose and JHodgeCMI,
Thanks for the feedback. I'm always interested in a good coins across even though my initial intent was on a 3 fly routine. Right now I use the Daryl routine and have had some good reactions. However, I don't feel that I am connecting with one of the critical moves. So, I'm looking for something that may fit my style a little better. However, once again, I am always interested in a good coins across and may just check this one out. Thanks again! |

Available as an instant on Penguin $9.95 - demo looks too fast to see what the heck is happening... and seems to have discrepancies...

I have to second the comment on the Mind Bender DVD. For a more "affordable" DVD it's got some nice effects, and I think that Chad Sanborn does a nice job with the explanations. I've got to add, too, that the coin routine will take some practice but if you can get it down, it would be well worth it.

Clarioneer,
I didn't realize that a demo was on Penguin. I'll look into that. And, thanks to all for your comments. Nicholas |

Yeah, it is on Penguin ow.. and for 10 bucks, for just 5 more (I believe), you can get the Mindbender DVD, and learn a few extra things. Claironeer, I noticed a lot of discrepancies as well, but hopefully the patter will take care of that...
Later, James |

I have his Mind Bender DVD, and it's all right. The rubberband effect is terrible, but the spoon bend and Holy Grail are good. I would have been willing to pay more if he had explained the Holy Grail routine a little slower. He goes through each step a little too fast in my opinion.

It's a very good DVD. his explanations are clear and the routines are wonderful. His spoon bending, I think, is the best out there.
The Holy Grail isn't easy, but it's a fooler. Chad is an excellent Magi!!!

Wow!
I have an effect on the market that I didn't release! I have no clue who released this but it wasn't me. The only version I have out is on the DVD. Thanks for the headsup on this. Chad |

Maybe Penguin Magic bought the rights to this DVD from Magic Makers??? Could that be a possibility Chad?

Even if they did buy it, Magic Makers has rights on that DVD only. They do not have rights to strip it and sell the parts, only the whole.
We shall see I guess. Chad |
