I'm curious about buying a trick sold at abra4magic
http://www.abra4magic.com/Merchant2/merc......rdTricks It's called cartoon rising card. I am a teenager, so I don't have much money. I know some of you guys think "Hey, it's only $7! He should just get it! It's not like he's wasting tons of money on it" But I'm on a VERY tight budget . So could someone please tell me if it's any good? Thanks.
And with a wave of my wand, under the cloth we find that...uh ...may I have another assistant please?

I have never seen this trick before and the instructions leave a little something to be desired.
As a general rule, unless you have seen something performed (either live or via video) you should step away from tricks until you get more information. |

I think this is the rising card just with that glass thingy the rising card if I am talking about the same thing is quite a good effect I don't have it but if it 's is the same thing then you could consider buying it but in the end its not up to the people here its up to you.

I have bought from Abra4magic.com before and I am going to be blunt. They do not sell decent goods. The description on the website makes the effect out to be a lot nicer then it actually is. Also once the effect comes the instructions are small and not clear. I would stay clear of this retailer and look at tricks in liable shops.

Ok Just curious. Seeing things appear and then move while drawn onto a peice of paper just makes me curious.

Just wondering, is the card forced or is it free selection?

Jay Sankey has an effect called One Car Garage which is a similar effect. It can be viewed on elmwoodmagic.com

The $7 trick doesn't look all that great. You get what you pay for. In contrast, however, the Ron Jaxon trick does look nice, and uses TWO selected cards. One with a card rising on the back of it, and on the other side is the other spectator's card. I believe it was about $25 though, which might not be in your budget right now, but would be well worth you saving up for it instead of wasting $7 on something that would not be as good.

Marty I'd stay well clear!
I've seen this effect (or something VERY VERY similar) and without giving it away it's BAD! Just think about how you could get a card to go through the middle of a larger piece of card and you've got it, it's that simple and that obvious. Hope this saves you $7.00 Al.

Yeah, don't waste your money on that piece of junk... get ron jaxons definatly. I havent seen it in person, but I can guess it will be good. I have an idea of the method, and I think its the best idea yet... with the back of the cards design not moving at all, that's the way it should look. check out the demo on Ron's Site...
