Hello fellow cardicians,
I want to learn and perform the signed card to envelope effect. I'm just confused as to which wallet I should buy in order to perform this effect. Can anyone help me with this and possibly provide a source for the wallet? Thanks! Roberto

If you want THE BEST, you want the Forbes Portfolio by Michael Forbes. It's offerd as part of The Bob Kohler Pro Magic line. It has an incredible feature:
a self-sealing envelope. Think about the possibilities!!!!!!!! Go here: http://www.bobkohlermagic.com/vcom/produ......ts_id=72

Hey,Roberto. The price is higher than a normal Kaps stle card to wallet. But the Forbes allows you to have the envelope completely sealed and perform it multiple times. And the wallet is classy looking!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can second the Forbes Portfolio. I saw Michael demonstrate this at MAGIC...Live!, and it really is the best. You can reset the wallet for another performance before the spectator removes the card from the envelope! Makes it very practical for the real world. Worth much more than they are asking for it.

As an aside - if you don't already know - do a search on the Café. The "Which Wallet Question" has been asked a a number of times, and there are many wallets reviewed.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

The best wallet for the signed card to seal envelope effect is Jerry O'Connell's. You can check out his website or at Craig Dickson's wetstore at http://www.wizardcraftmagic.com/ Jerry's wallets is smaller and fit into a jacket. The quality is one of the best out there! I have it and I'm very happy that I made the purchase.

Try the Tom Mullica wallet. I've heard other magicians give nice reviews about it.

I agree with corpmagi. Eugene Burger and Danny Orleans swear by the Mullica wallet. Just a few example of professional magicians who use it.

I've been using the Forbes Portfolio and it works great. You truly can re-load a new envelope right in front of them. It's pricey, but you get access to the forum, which is actual people who actually own the wallet. There are lots of great ideas on the forum. To me, that's what made it worth the money.
I'm not trying to argue with anyone, but I know when the envelope is torn open that's a great moment! It's very strong! |

Make sure the wallet you buy can use standard envelopes. I bought the Malloy wallet for exactly that reason.
