Greetings to all of u!
A GEMINI CAGE (Dove to girls!) build by Creative Illusions in April/May 2002 for sale. Now NO longer being made,a collecter piece. As performed by Top Illusionist Like Rick Thomas, Lance Burton, Siefried & Roy, John Shrock, SherryLukas...etc This is the LAST version they build before the Late Mr Ken Whitetaker (invented of Gemini cage & Impaled illusion )passed away June 02(correct me if I am wrong) The condition is very good condition & comes with Extra Sherpherd castor wheels, Black Art Professional made Black Cloths with sliver lining, 2 bars....DIFFERENT HEIGHTS TO BE AJUSTED FOR DIFFERENT GIRL BODY... it comes with an Custom ENCORE ATA Case-LENGTH & BREATH -35",THICKNESS: 14"..The ENTIRE unit fit into the case! I will also include the video cataloge by creative illusions showing this illusion & all the necessary extra accesories that I bought like Prodfessional Tools from Stanley & special tools from Creative Illusions...Everythings contains! NO need to buy additional accesories, ready to perform! PLUS Full Instruction from Creative Illusions! and a Fax Form for the rights to performed anywhere. The cage has been only used a couple of times for rehersals, show & a TV show. Reason for selling: Singapore stage UNLIKE USA, we seldom have a production THEME show ..mostly dinner & dance show....it is very impractical to carry the cage with lady in it onto a platform stage with ALL the audience watching it. It works best if U have a theatre stage that can pushed from the sides. To sell this for another Levitation illusion. This Illusion has been performed by Siefried & Roy, Lance Burton, Rick Thomas, John Shrock, SherryLukas...etc To Sell at US$6800/-(Nett) Plus shipping if anyone interested, you may e-mail me for a photo (SERIOUS INQUIRY ONLY) I am always happy to provide a few references of US magicians who knows me, please e-mail me at dovework@pacific.net.sg for further details.... Thanks for reading & have a nice day!~ |

Hmm.. $6,800.00 for a prop less than 10 years old that originally sold for $5k???
I used to be tightly affiliated with CI and worked directly with Ken in designing Shadow Vision, the See-thru Step Loader and several other key bits that put CI on the map in those early years. Granted, Paul hasn't exactly sustained the original image of "integrity" the company knew when Ken was alive... that's a can of worms however, I'd rather not open. Let's just say there was a reason I left the company just short or Ken's Stroke and passing. He was a very dear friend and an awesome mind... I do miss him! I can't say for certain, but I do believe Kenny gave permission to at least three major resources for making his effects; John Gaughan, David Mendoza and Bill Smith (Bill being the primary I do believe) e.g. the GEMINI CAGE as well as the LION'S BRIDE version could probably be had "legally" from one of those three sources. I will warn everyone interested in this effect that a certain member of this board that's known for "borrowing" effect concepts was manufacturing a very cheap version of the GEMINI CAGE that led to several girls getting seriously hurt. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OTHER THAN AN APPROVED VERSION OF THIS EFFECT. There are certain checks & balances (quite literally) that go into the design of the table, pedestal and roller feet that keep the unit from kicking out from under the girl or tipping. My Ex was a 300+ lb lady who could sit on the backside of one of these things and it wouldn't kick and held her with no problem, it was the litmus test we ran in the shop to insure product safety. BTW... given the rarety of the Whitaker originals $6,800.00 is a reasonable price IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR and simply want the item for nostalgia's sake and knowing that you own one the best. |

Hi Everyone
I just contacted Bill Smith from Las Vegas, he is very professional on the phone & a very nice gentleman To summaries, Bill Smith did NOT build the Gemini Cage neither he have the permission cos Paul yet to release to anybody. He did mention where I heard this from ...? hmm Hi Osirs, the US$5OOO.00 price tag you mention did NOT include the ENCORE ATA CASE...the professional Case cost ADDITIONAL - around US$550--US$600. adding up to 5.6 grand! Not mentioning, the Gemini Cage I am selling is the Original version still under CREATIVE ILLUSION.....the last batch, hence is truly a collector piece. Hope this helps. dove-boy P/S: Yes! I received several e-mail from 'members' & a couple of magicians asking me to sell them the idea & how the the Gemini Cage works.....guess these people are trying to build a knock off to sell or use....I just told them off! NO WAY! Do not get any other version other than the ORIGINAL one cos you do not want to risk, injurying your lovely assistant, hope this helps |
