Hey all!
I watched the video of 'Linking Pins' and I think they're pretty cool! I was offered them at a magic shop, but declined, that was BEFORE I saw how cool they look! Check out the vid at: http://www.jbtv.co.uk/guide Please give me your input on whether this trick is a good one and worth getting. Also, for those who have it already, please send in your opinions as well! Thanx in advance all! Cheers Logan

The pins on the video look like Jerry Andrus style pins. If you do get them track down Jerry's work on the pins. The routine on the video is not half the quality of the Andrus work.

Hey Jeff!
If I do get the pins, where can I find Andrus' work? Is it a manuscript? Booklet? Video? I like the idea, and I hope if I get it, it comes full, with Andrus' work. Cheers, Logan

Check with a magic dealer. You may need to pick up a used copy. Try H&R or Bradbury for starters. Check ebay from time to time too.

Hey Jeff and thehawk!
Thanx for your input! I'll definitely check them (locations) out, I'm quite keen on the booklet, it sounds promising! To those who already have this effect, please tell me more about it in here! Is this worth it or is there some underlying piece of bad news that never seems to surface upon the first look of a trick? Is it hard to do? Cheers! Logan

Logan, As with any good effect it requires practice. Kinda like linking rings, but on a smaller scale. The instructions that come with the effect are quite good, but wait till you can give it your full attention prior to learning the routine. You will be glad you did!

If you pins that can be handed out get Dan Garret Connivery. It uses ordinary pins that could be handed out if you had to.
It also has other routines on the tape that make it a good buy. |

Is Dan Garret's version as visual?
I don't think the pins can be examined, but after a quick swtich (they ARE pins...) it should be ok. Logan

Dan Garret's pins are as visual and can be examined after the performance. They don't have to be examined because people handle them during the performance so they don't ask to see them.

Does anyone know which pins are demo'd on the jbtv video? I've wanted to know if they are the Stealth Linking Pins I've seen. The ad for these says the links are done "right under the specs nose", implying they can be looked at closely but are not fully examinable. Anyone have more input of this?
