Last year I put up a post for this wonderful item. .I am still looking
For many years I used the prop described below. I first found it at a garage sale. It is a sound activated chicken that did the chicken dance. The stuffed battery operated chicken, had and on and off button. After turning it on, you never knew when it was going to go off. The chicken played the chicken dance music, while its wings moved sleightly(lol). As it went through the song (Chicken Dance) a few times, each time it got faster and faster. It was a great running gag. That is literal as each time it went off, I did a juggling routine going faster and wider apart in how I threw the balls and moved across the stage. Unfortuneately I left it at a public program and when I went back it had "flown the coop". If you have one and are willing to sell it, please contact me here or at my school address. (or if you know where else to get one.) Thanks Harris Deutsch Laughologist and Nearly Normal Magician

Hello, and welcome to Muzicmans chicken emporium. We have a fine selction for you today.
Press ONE for a chicken that plays the chicken dance music, while its wings move sleightly and it dances the song (Chicken Dance) a few times, and gets faster and faster. Press TWO For The Funky Chicken. This 9" plush funky rooster bobs his head, flaps his wings, shakes his tail feathers and sings his "fowl" rendition of the hit song, "Surfin' Bird". Press THREE for Don Juan The Tango Frog. This adorable 12" animated Frog rocks side to side to the tango of "La Cumparsita. “Shall we dance?" He's no fowl but his legs tastes like chicken. Press FOUR For an animated Danial Boone hat. Bet you're too "chicken" to wear this in public!! Press FIVE For a vinyl chicken toy. Wait til you take a bite out of this. It tastes like....well.....uh..........plastic!! Press SIX to repeat this menu. Thank you for shopping at Muzicmans, come back soon! |

Wow thanks for all the hard work.
The one that looks most like it so far is a Gemmy Product on ebay. It is not sound activated. Today I am at a computer without speakers so I will wait till tomorrow back at work to hear what the ones sent me this week end. Yes the one I had flew the coop/not broken. I also heard there may be something like it at Wal-greens or WalMart. This and You are awessssssome place and people. Harris

I liked it too. It may have some possibilties to work into a Rocky raccoon routine. Maybe if you used the normal Rocky for some byplay, then when he misbehaves, duck out of the audience view and put the hat on and activate the tail. "That will teach him"!!

Love the hat also.
Somewhere I read about animating the hat, ala rocky and then do a transformation from "assumed" puppet to the hat..... I have some hot leads and will let you know if and when I adopt a new one. The last one, I named Colonel. Then I asked the audience what his last name was. Many shout out Sanders(KFC), I pause and say no Epstein. What a fun section of the Café. Harris
