Hi Guys,
I have a ventriloquism act with a puppet in my 30 mins magic show , and I'm currently thinking of adding another ventro act using the Axtell drawing board... do you think it's too much?? or should just choose to do just one? |

I don't think its too much at all. The variety is nice and its not as if your doing 2 skits with the same puppet. Which if done right can be done as well. The drawing board is a nice piece and I was thinking of getting one too. Still building a full show but it offers variety without being another "puppet". I say go for it.

I'd have to agree. After all, it's esentially magic. You draw a picture on a white board and it comes to life. If you can do vent, then great! Even if you can't it's still a pretty cool trick isn't it?
Good luck

I agree. You are there to entertain. If your vent routines are entertaining they will be well received. Mine go over better than my magic (I'm almost ashamed to say, because I've been doing magic for 25 years and vent for 3).

In fact I have tried it out today, and the respone was fantastic... although I have use the same vent voice for drawing board and my puppet...
Have to try using a different asscent and voice... that's the hardest part of vent I think... Thank you very much for your support and encouragement.... Cheers... |

Glad to hear it was well recieved! =) The voice changes are tough but you will get there. What I try to do is work on voices while driving and such. If I waited until I was home with puppets in hand then I would not get much practice in at all. However on the other side of that is, Some puppets when you pick them up..take on a voice naturally...unless its just me thinking this and the puppets are in control..oh noooo...LOL

I totally agreed training your voice while driving, that's the best way I think and I do that too...
Training at home, my family will always complaint that I am VERY NOISY!!! hehe... qute disturbing actually.. If my family member want to train vent one day and train at home.. I will move out of the house!!! |
