Hi all,
Do you know any sources for cane manipulation with appearing and vanishing canes (eg books, dvds, videos)? thanks George |

McBride's 'Magic on Stage' series has a number of moves with the vanishing/appearing canes. Particularly volume 1 & 3.
If you are wanting 'cane only' material, then your best bet is to buy Fantasio's books, they are good. Hope this helps, bud. |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply---I already have McBrides magic on stage dvds and they do have some good cane stuff in. I think I will buy a Fantasio book---does he have any dvds out? thanks George |

I think he has lecture videos out, I'm sure Kyle will keep me straight here, I've heard him mention them before.
I'll let him fill in the blanks. |

Hi George,
Fantasio put out 6 booklets a long time ago that dealt with his canes and candles. These went into great detail which included the care of the items too. I learnt a lot from these small booklets and if you can get hold of them they are very worthwhile ( Unfortunately no longer printed - I think) ,they are small A5 booklets and are volumes 1 to 6 . Sometimes you can pick up an odd one from Magic Books By Post or at an auction. A recent item by Fantasio is his "new" ideas book which is easily obtainable here in the UK. This covers some of the items in his booklets plus a few more and it too contains ideas etc on canes and candles - a recommended buy if you are going to seriously think about using canes and candles. Fantasio also has out 2 Videos (Unfortunately not on DVD......Yet !) These are good in the respect that you can actually see what is being explained, again recommended. Due to the popularity nowadays of DVD (which is better than video) you can pick these video versions up quite cheaply. Hope this helps. All the best Stuart.
