Ok I've had the book for a week now. I must say that I have already mastered Larry's URV Variant #3. It is IMO the best move in the book. It alone is worth the price of the book. I'm having so much fun with this one move. I use other URV's as well and this ranks right up there. Its very natural looking(especially without tapping the hand on the other hand,Larry why do you do that?)and took me about three days 3-5 hours a day to get the hang of it.The thumb move is a little tricky at first.Anyway if you are interested in the book , I think it's definately worth the price. Also Larry, I converted the cd to a dvd format complete with menu, If you would like it I could mail it to you. Also Could you tell me where I could get like five of the dollar sized chinese coins with the hole? Thanks... Fingerz

Dr.Fate,
I appreciate your positive comments about my retention vanish. Fingerz, Thank you as well for those comments. The little tap I do on the wrist is actually commented on in a word document that's on the CD that gives some background history on the development of some of the sleights. In short, it's a gesture Frank Garcia did following a sponge ball vanish. He called the tapping of the wrist, "ringing the bell." I can of course do the move without that tap but it's second nature to me at this point. Check your PM regarding the coins. I'd love to have a DVD of the CD. Thanks. Larry PS. The prize has not been awarded yet. Book #300 is very very close to being sold. Going, going....... |

Corey,
I'm glad you liked the book. Since you're a pastor, after learning the moves and my script, maybe you can apply these to and older more famous script, the scriptures. |

Got to agree the book is well laid out and easy to learn from. The sleights taught are top notch and the routines well thought out with excellent scripts.
The URV retention move is a favorite of mine. I've found that you can also use it as a take vanish rather than a put or place vanish. Larry, have you used it in that way? BJ |

Thanks Peter for your kind remarks. Enjoy.
BJ, I have used the URV as a take instead of a put but I like the put better. I've also used the Rapid URV technique for a one-handed coin vanish with the palm facing the audience. Those who have the book will immediately know what I'm referring to. I've added 3 more video clips showing sleights in the book to my website. They are also on Youtube in slightly lower resolution. |

If you haven't checked out Larry's posted videos you should take a look. This man has some very cool creative moves. I haven't yet bought his book, but I'm sure I will in the near future.

I really like that URV move. I have a large Chinese coin that measures about 2 inches in diameter. I've been practicing that move with it. The burn is even more intense with that size coin. Larry, have you used coins larger than a silver dollar with your moves?

Just thought I'd add myself to the voices.
Recieved my copy today. The book is very well produced and everything is clear. Looks nice, thanks Larry. I won't be able to work on any of this for a while though, exam period at uni, bad timing! However, from what I've read so far, the book's great. Get one!
Regards,
