It concerns a way to surprisingly speed-up your memory practice. When I started practicing numbers mnemonics seriously, it helped me gain 50% more speed of memory in less than a week.

I uploaded the topic on my server, because the bbcode of the Café forum could not display the pictures I needed to show you here :

You may already have tried similar things but let me know your thoughts. Thanks for replying me thru here.

Thank you very much Jean-Denis for a very useful software. There is a similar one to memorize a deck (www.stackview.com , written by a café member) but I didn't know of any for memorizing random digits.

By the way, which method do you use to memorize them ? Link, peg, other ?

Sincerely, Matt

Thanks Matt,

Since I received good feedback from those who tried the tool, I will have a better and more friendly version made soon. It will be fully in english and will allow more possibilities.

For those who would like to receive the new version when it will be ready, just send me a PM or email me.

About your question Matt:

Let's say I want to memorize 40 numbers in 40 seconds: I form 20 "words" of two numbers and link them in a story. It is the method that works best for me, but I guess other people have better methods for themselves.

However, If I would like to memorize more than 40 numbers, I would use another system, but I'm not yet ready for more than 40: My current goal is to get faster and reduce the delay to less than 1 second between each number displayed.

Let me know your speed progresses with the tool!

I know that many people here in the Café practice mnemonics: I wonder who can get the best score from the tool here. Does someone is able to go faster than 1 second between each number?

Offers a lot more functions.

Thank you Jean-Denis and Memo, those both are wondeful looking tools. I have been trying to learn to photoreading so anything I can do to keep those memory muscles worked up helps a lot. -Brian

I favor the Harry Lorayne system of memory. I have tried many methods and yet this system has proven to be the best by far. It is a system of ease whereas many other systems require you to have a good memory just to remember the methods they are teaching heh. I think that for magic, Loryane's system is the best because he too is a magician and this system adapts very very well to what we do.
