Welcome korneille!
What does bar magic look like in Quebec, do you work the bar from behind it? Or work tables? Or just stroll and go with what works, where it works? What is most popular (what do you like to do most, and what do they want to see most?) I don't do bars, but some of the places I go to are similar in layout so your advice and discussion will all be appreciated. Hi Korneille!
Welcome to the "Magic Cafe" Sure glad you're here, We could use a bar magician around here, We have a pianoman and he could use some help, although we usually only serve coffee. :hrmph: (but rumor has it that Tom keeps some of the other stuff in the back room, I also hear that's where him and Ichazod play cards with the cowboy magicman, but, don't tell them I told you!) Well now, you get on out there and get to work, we have drinks to serve. Mya

Hi, I'm very impressed with the warm welcome you all have given me!!
As for Bro David's questions, I'll try to reply the best I can "What does bar magic look like in Quebec, do you work the bar from behind it? Or work tables? Or just stroll and go with what works, where it works?" Well I don't think there is another (at least in my region eastern township) magician who work in bars or restaurant, so I cannot generalize about how magicians work in general. I did for 10 years 1 or 2 times a month an opening act for heavy metal and punk bands (magic and fire eating) one time a bar owner told me he had an opening as a bartender so I did it to make the story short!!! People here enjoy mostly haunted key, on tap, short card tricks, bill tube, hopping half ext... the most important here, is the interaction with the public (not to force a card trick) I integrate the magic with the curent dialogue we have and it blends well. "What is most popular, what do you like to do most, and what do they want to see most?" (visual stuff) alot of funny stuff and most of all respect!!! I hope this was helpful

Hi Korneille, you're doing a great job of English, much better than I could of French.
Anyway, if it's understandable, that's what is important. I don't worry about the other stuff much, my Grammar stopped talking to me years ago.
Have a Magic day
