I was sharing about the bondage of self in a church program a week ago.(The importance of not being wrapped up in yourself and service to others.)
For an object lesson I use a strait jacket routine. One of the church members shouted out can I borrow that for the evening.(Indicating something about a date) I quiped back...."Go and sin no more". What would you have said, or done? Later in the program I used my new grey wig and a shawl to share a short play about Sarah and Abraham naming their new treasure and big surprise.(a baby named "He Laughed"/Isaac.... I played the part of Sarah) Harris Deutsch Laughologist

That was a great response. My first thought was yes you may if that is what it takes to keep your hands to yourself. But I would have to feel very comfortable with the crowd and no kids or I'ld keep that to myself.

Perhaps the lines...
Want to try out Married life already, eh? The new version of ball and chain. or I'm sorry, The idea is to escape FROM the jacket... But the line, Go and Sin No More probably worked pretty well! John |
