Myself.

I'm just kidding

I'd have to say (in no specific order)
Bob Sheets, Copperfield, Burton, McBride, Ammar, Gene Anderson, as well as some not really famous magicians I know:
Rolando Medina, Doug Gorman (if your in TAOM you know who they are)
Chris Capehart
and of course Houdini

*blushes* Criss angel and David Blaine... Actually, the only non-famous one I even know is Bill Abbot. He's pretty cool.
For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who do not, none will suffice.

A magician is an actor playing the part of a magician.

Don't run when no-one's chasing you.

Those deceased would be Dunninger, Vernon, Canasta, Koran, Cardini and Blackstone. Those still alive would be Burton, Teller, Sankey, Osterlind, Banachek, Maven, Burger, Becker, Wonder, Swiss and Daryl. I feel that this is doing an injustice as I have so many favorites. These are but a few of those marvellous prestidigitators who grace this Earth.

Cheers,

Hi!

I like Richard Osterlind alot. He is a great Entertainer and nows how to present his magic in a friendly, though mystic manner to the audience.

Cheers

I love question like this, I also like to know why someone picks the person.
My list:
Dai Vernon - taught us to do things clean, and simple.
Doug Henning - reminded us magic is supposed to be fun.
Whit Haydn - showed us street magic is just as good as any other.
Jeff McBride - enough said.
Michael Finney - totally funny.
James Dimmare - returned "class" back to magic.
Michael Ammar - since his hair looks like mine he gets my vote.

...who, I am convinced, would have been Johnny Carson if we didn't already have one;

Jay Sankey
...whose "Make Your Own Magic" is among the most poignant video material available to the modern magi;

Pete Elliot
...an unsung forefather of the bar magic scene, and my inspiration; and

Eric Weiss
...without whom, we'd likely be having this conversation in a circus tent right now.

Dai Vernon - I like most of his effect, simple and direct.
Greg Wilson - His presentation is entertaining. And I learned a lot from his material. His skill is amazing.

First for me is Mark Wilson. His was the first magic I ever saw, "The Magical Land Of Allakazam". The first time I saw him do his Allakazam Train I was hooked. Other magicians, not in order would be:
Blackstone Jr.,Thurston,Houdini,Blackstone Sr.,More or less all of the great Stage Illusionists. Henning,Copperfield,Burton. And so many more.

I have to say Roy Walton, who inspired me as a kid from his little shop in Glasgow all though years ago. I was very lucky! Thanks Roy.

I'd have to say Wayne Houchin
Daniel Garcia
Penn and Teller

Wayne has some killer effects and makes it look very simple.
Daniel's TORN is without doubt visually perfect!!
Penn and Teller just for their comedy/hard hitting magic.

Cardini --

For innovation and skill; the short video clip I've seen of him is inspiring.

Gene Anderson --

For just being a normal guy with a normal job who loved magic and stuck with it...and for perfecting the Torn and Restored Newspaper.
I'm...I'm just not feeling STRONG right now...

A bartender in one Brussels' bars. He does only TT stuff, but his tricks got me started.
