I would cut and bend a metal caster for each wheel and form it to look like an actual caster wheel. As for the wheel, why not a small wheel made of wood or a cut off the end of a large wooden dowel. Paint it flat black and you've got a wheel.

Sounds neat, will look into it. At this point the wheels are the last thing on my mind but I am getting there-haven´t started making the base yet. Once I get the arcs on the table cut, I can finally assemble it-now its held together with tape, looks like a real cheapo

Would love to see pics when you are done. I need to begin construction on mine. Have you had any problems with building it yet? Do you recommend any special tricks or changes?

I could post a pic of the test assembly version. I haven´t encountered any real problems yet, but I still need to cut the oval for the face so there might a problem ahead.
I cant think of any special tricks, except to be creative and at least double-check all your measurements. I didn´t and that's why I had to re-cut a few parts-though I am using only hand tools (save for airbrush which I will use in the painting). Now anyone has any ideas for the paint job? I was thinking about the "standard" blue/yellow color scheme but I´ve got a wide variety of other colors and special effect paints so I might do something different as well.

Go to a well-stocked hobby or craft store. Look at the doll house supplies and perhaps you will find some wheels either by themselves or take them off of something. (or get a dollhouse supply catalog and see what they have)

Cool, thanks I never thought of that. I´ll check it for sure.
I was supposed to post a pic of the test assembly here, but the image size upload limit made the pic so small one couldn´t tell what was in the picture. I am gonna get some space from a friend´s website so pic will go there in time-and the link will appear here.

Magicmarkdaniel... Did you look at the date? This was long before the release of the mini series from Chance... I think he had already been thinking about making the "Mini Outhouse" since he finished the originals...
What's so "strange" about that? -Bryan |

That's exactly what I meant, I think you took it the wrong way! I was just reading the original post thinking "and look what Chance has just done!".

Oh... I gotcha! LOL... Yah, shouldn't there be royalty fees? Or maybe a comp. Mini-Outhouse involved here? (Just kidding Chance)

It was a while seens last time a was here..it's 12 years ago in this post, dam old. But I had so much to do last time a was here, but today it's really is up to date with the homepage, AND the mini illusions.
I have build a lot more miniatures seens last time and have a couple of them for sale on my homepage, they are now build in pla plastic and always in scale 1:12. They comes in parts and not painted, so they need a little finnish work. But still they are build so close it is possible to the original illusions, and built as far as possible after the original blueprints (i have a MASSIVE collection of blueprints, plans and patents) take a look at www.perero.com (shoppen)

Hey Perero,
I am excited to see your miniature illusions, but sadly the website won't open for me. It says too many redirects occurred. Since this thread started I built 2 miniature illusions. Micro Asrah http://www.masterofillusions.ca/me-asrah.html And Micro Twister: http://www.masterofillusions.ca/store-micro-twister.html They are fun to build but almost as much work as building the real thing...lol smaller doesn't always mean easier or faster. I can't wait to see your miniatures Perero

Hey Peter,
Amazing miniature illusions, and a lot of work behind them...more then must expect, specially when you hand build them like yourse. I built my first by hand in wood, metal and plastic but today I'm cheating and use my 3D printer to print the parts I need (most of the parts). BUt it still a lot of work behind them, becouse every plan a have drawn is construction plans, not for scale 1:12 and even if you can print very small stuff you can't print every part as it is, you have to rebuild the illusion for smaller scale. That means a lot of work to, to print and test and reprint to test the limit of the printer, and learn how to draw different things. And about the redirects of the homepage, I gonna fixit today and put som pictures and my own site and pu the links here (i have redirect the homepage to my flashsite on a different webhotel) ps and peter...sometimes its much easier to build the real thing...one reason is that I have'nt found a solution for hinges yet.
