Doesn't use playing cards, but Tamariz Rabbits is excellent for kids.

Right, Tamariz Rabbits is great, and so is Mike Close's BOZO THE CLONE... great effect, brilliant concept and kicker ending that kills.

There was a packet trick called 'The Whole Thing' by Emerson/West that was a lot of fun as it went through a series of changes with 3 or 4 cards playing with the difference between 'whole' and 'hole'. Lots of magic and very entertaining.
Also,'Cardtoon' could be consider a full deck packet trick and plays well. |

I might add I have one at home that uses jumbo cards with a picture of a hunter and an elephant drawing. While trying to keep track of where everyone is,you have inside an envelope what looks like the hunter's hat and it turns out to be a peanut, which the elephant wants to eat.It is called "Effo the Elephant" Rennie
The effect is the important thing, how you achieve it is not.......

Mark Wilson's "Oil and Water" good simple packet trick and good for kids who are just starting school because you can work in the colours and numbers that they are learning at school and they love the opportunity to show you how smart they are bless their hearts

What about the Virginia City Shuffle? Or A Close up Illusion? I think they are pretty simple, not sure if they are a kid friendly effect though. I still love Colour Monte. An 8 Card Brainwave is a good effect.

My favorite is Dan Harlan's Hold it buster.
Adults really seem to like End of Story ( Bill Malone) If you are up for a challenge, NO JOKING by Tyler Corbin is full of magic. You can not go wrong with cardtoon though I would not consider it a packet trick Why hasn't anyone mentioned TWISTED SISTER? |

Does anyone have a handling that doesn't demand laying out the cards on the table? Ian P.S. The main reason I like this concept is because of the climax. Take a look at my avatar, and imagine what it would look like. Kids go mental... |

I like very much Dave's Dotty spot (an Oil & water effect) and Virginia city Shuffle.
