#1st
100, 1 who changes the bulb in front of everyone, and the other asking him if this can be performed surrounded and if the bulb can be handed out to the spectator. #2nd 1 single magician, doing the "ambitious light bulb" routine. No matter how many times the spectator switches off the light, the magician will always magically turns it on again! #3rd 1 single magician, doing the Vernon's "Twisting the Bulbs" routine. The light is on... a simple twist and voila...it's off...another twist and voila...it's on! Dave PS: my favourite answer of the previous posts is Q: How many mentalists does it take to change a lightbulb? A: You're thinking of the number 17. |

I still get the biggest giggle out of Vandy's original post.
Incidentally, Larry, I received your book and CD (and the cool coins!!) yesterday and haven't put it down since. Nice work! When I do finally put it on the shelf it will have a proper home right between Bobo and Coinmagic. |

How many magicians does it take to change a light bulb?
2. A slight artist to switch the bulbs, and a carnival busker to eat the old one. |

The question is not applicable -
Most magicians are in the dark anyway ... so they won't even know the bulb needs changing. |

Hello contest contestants!
This is Esther, who was drafted without her knowledge to judge this contest and I presume to go to the post office and mail the prize! Let me first say that it was very hard to decide on a winner as so many entries were clever and funny. I often lurk on this Café and have some knowledge of the inside jokes and jargon. I am not a magician but have been watching magic 24 hours a day since I married Larry seven years ago. I am thankful that in my work as his stage assistant, I am allowed out of the sword cabinet for meals and bathroom breaks. NOW, the first place winner who will receive Larry's book, "21st Century Coin Mechanics" and companion CD plus some authentic Chinese Coins is...... Rob Elliott for his mentalist twist on the question and answer. Q: How many mentalists does it take to change a lightbulb? A: You're thinking of the number 17. And, being the judge and post office go-fer, I am awarding three honorable mention awards who will receive 3 dollar size Chinese coins each. They are: Vandy Grift for his Dai Vernon answer, Jonathan P from Belgium for his very clever light bulb routine with the ladder and Magix for making me laugh every time I read about his large thumb-tip. So, send Larry a PM with your mailing address and all awards will be shipped next week when we return from our vacation. Thanks to everyone who contibuted to the contest, Esther |

Esther, you have a remarkable resemblence to Larry, and you seem to have the exact same amount of posts that he does...how peculiar.
