I am looking at buying a subtrunk and am looking for input to see which sub trunk out there is the best and or fastest? I'm not sure of all the differences etc. but suggestions and input will be greatly appreciated. Currently I am looking at the Chalet one and the one by Oz Illusions although I don't know if the Oz Illusions one is worth almost double the price the Chalet or if there are any better/faster ones. Any information will help greatly!!

The speed comes from you not the trunk. I would go with the one that best fits both your show and your needs and budget.

I have the Chalet Packing Crate style. The mechanism is ingeneous and you can't see the **** even when examining it close up.

The Chalet trunk more than has my vote... I performed it over 4,000 times in amusement park shows.. and even at the end of the season.. it was as good as new!!

My Chalet sub trunk is also our vault backstage for "locked away" property. I even load it and cart things around in it because of the wheels. It is tough and looks good. The most important part is that it always works!

David,
You really do have good taste. (And even in sub trunks. Tell her I said so!) You finally have a surprise on the way. Watch your mail. Enjoy! Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |

Chalet has a very "modest" web site. Do they not have a phone at this day and age? Te only way to contact them is by email it seems.
Maybe I am not at the right site? (chaletstephens.com) Also, does anyone have and use dream-illusions subtrunk? could you please give it a few words in review if you have it. Thanks, Dani |

David Charvet sells a dandy sub trunk,Jack Gwynne style, built by MaRK Evans,,looks like a real trunk,,how about Abbotts Canvas covered box,,done with the cover, and the audience participation,,in my estimation it is the greatest mystery going, and I have a barn full of illusions and have done them all.The old Owens trunk was a real thing of beauty, I wish I still had it. I still think the trunk should be done with the audience member examining the trunk and putting the girl in the bag which has been examined.then roping the trunk has all of this been forgotten do not try to emulate the Pendragons, you wont make it. Chalet has my vote. The are a great company to work with. Product, and service is tops.
I'm not a fan of Owen as some of you know from other of my posts. I did own an Abbotts Canvas box, the effect is really good, but takes twice the work of a standard sub trunk. I usually just performed it as a standard sub trunk. My advice is to use a standard top **** model, packing case style, its the best all around model
