I think the actual lawsuits against these people are going to cost more than it is worth. By the end of the day, there is a new kid doing the same thing all over again. I mean what can you do?

You would think that if you are going to rip off an illusion, you would bother to do it right!

I'm not too up on the law but basically, the law is there to stop "a loss" - So in court you will have to argue how much damage one sad guy dressing up for Halloween has actually cost you... and if you think it's millions, then has the guy you are suing actually got millions?

So in the end, not a lot of point going to court.

The only arguing point would be that as he has presented it so badly and put the pictures up on the internet, that has damaged Copperfield's presentation as people have now found out how it is done (If there is anyone over 12 who can't work it out after seeing it twice!)

But you still have to get the money from someone who doesn't have millions to get!
