I'm posting this to up my posts, but I think many would probaly like to know. Okay so I thought up a method of performing the balducci with both feet going up but put the idea away for awhile because I really only performed mental magic now. Then two years later rumors began to come up that I could levitate just because I used to perform the balducci. So I bought the elevator 2 to show that I could levitate but was kinda dissapointed (if upgraded it would be a very good levitation). I couldn't really make it look like a float unless I did the double height Balducci. I would feel kinda odd performing the E2. So as practising the double height balducci I came back up with my Balducci idea. I decided to give it another shot and was very successful. The new gimmick is much stronger and better made. Friday I took it to school to see how it played and It was a complete success. I had now performed a balducci with both feet showing!! My idea is so much cheaper to make than the zero grvity and a lot easier to perform than Elevator 2 or kings Rising in my opinion. The angles are the only downside and you can only show one person at a time. I just let my 3 friends take turns. I say I don't feel comfortable with 3 people watching and I won't be able to levitate. The height is the same as the Balducci and people will tell others that it was much higher(3-1/2 to 5 inches).
My original idea was to use it with the E2. So as a pip dream my double-foot balducci and E2 can create a levitation that allows the performer to do a double height two footed Balducci levitation! This may only look good in a photo because putting both gimmicks down would be very hard to do in real time and clean up would be equally as hard. And if anyone knows anything about the double-Height Balducci(E2) The person you would be performing to would have to be a few feet away. Yeah, so I just wanted to share. |

So you have created an illusion you can do for only one person provided they are standing at the exact angle and distance from you that is required?
Sounds great!

Dannydoyle, yeah that is correct. Eirik is the only other magician that knows this gimmick and he is thinking up some ways on improving the angles and working out the kinks. Although it is very much performable right now. Is there a way of getting the video on the Café? Or will it need to be on another website? I'm going to see if I can get it recorded tomorrow.

Why in the world would you want to learn a trick with such constraints?

Because in the eyes of the spectator it might be a levitation not a trick.
A one person illusion might still be a miracle. Please Joe go ahead !! |

I'm thinking on making a larger and stronger gimmick in order to have better angles to show more people. Whenever me and my friend get together I'll be able to record it.

I have seen this Version of Balducci on
: http://www.magicvideodepot.com/view.php?a=v&t=4252 , from one asian boy , is good but is very very difficult to perform because you must perform the classic Balducci whit one foot and after you must turn your body (very fast) to the other side and you must change the foot in motion very very difficult, but a good version of Classic Balducci. |

A had performed this to another friend a few days ago. And he asked,"Did you really just levitate?" I said yeah and then he said,"because I felt some kind of energy pushing me back." I thought this was really strange and maybe I should suggest this would happen the next time I perform this. Anyways hopefully by the end of this week the video should be up. I apologise for the delay, I'm an honor student and being in honors makes me have to do a lot more projects and much of my time.

I tried to record today. It was pretty awful! Both feet could not be seen and thelighting and the floor was working with us. I just took apart the gimmick to enlarge it. This should give the camera really good angles. Sorry but it may be awhile before anyone sees it.

Rome wasn't build in a day. It's great that you are working on improving a levitation. Colin.
The presentation makes the magic.

When you've got it, you could put it up on http://www.magicvideodepot.com and link us to it. That'd be great.

I've finished improving the gimmick. The gimmick now does not need a jacket and now has much better angles. Prepartion is much easier with the use of very simple misdirection. My friends camera has been acting up so the Best I can do now is get a photo of the levitation. Would anybody be interested in just the photo? The photo will not be trick photography
