Alright I just returned from the mall after getting a few things set up for my electric touch. There are two ways to set up one is the basic and the second is the professional. I decided to go with the professional set up.
So I got home and decided to use the basic set up for a test run. Well I get everything ready and I go to move the bits of paper. Well nothing?happens? So now I'm frustrated. I turn it to the high setting and still nothing? So being by myself and no one to experiment with I remeber seeing the water being bent from the tap. So I walk over to the sink activate the device proceed to lift the metal handle. ZAAAAAAAP what a shock and I was not expecting it. I thought my unit does not work. So I did it again ZAAAAAP, wow it works. Then I turn the water on and yes it bends and I was doing it with both hands. Word of warning as I became entranced with the water bending I got to close and it touched me. ZAAAAAAAAAP many times over and that smarted. So my first impressions with zapping the sink, awesome. This is really cool. Yigal states in the dvd that you get 50% of the shock and the spectator gets the other. This is amazing and I can't wait to try it on an actual leaving breathing person. The shock is like on of those strong ones you get on a dry winter day. I could even hear it. magicmike30 Shipping I used Fed-Ex Priority. No I did not get my package of loops. Though my order was the very first to go out and I live in Canada.

I should clarify about the set up. You have everything you need to go right out of the box. I decided to get the professional set up done it is just better for me.
The batteries are awful small and I'm not sure how long they will last? I'm not set up on PM. magicmike30

Not set up on PM? Hmmm....
The batts are probly the 12V mini camera ones then. Great. Rechargable? So for the pro set up you have to get extras? Daz |

Well I have never used the PM feature, imagine there is some sort of set up?
The batts are small and you will know soon enough;) The pro set up is just a better way to go and it will involve a little custom work. Mine should be ready at 7:00 tonight and I will be all pro. Again you can use the basic set up to start Zapping right away but the pro is for the working performer. magicmike30

Magicmike, did you try this with regular notepbook paper, or tissue paper ?
You really need to use tissue paper, as regular paper might be too heavy. That was the results I had, anyway. The thing with the sink, that is neat, isn't it ? It can really smart if you use an old faucet which sputters instead of providing a nice clean stream. I think those probably are the 12 volt camera batteries, I've been eyeballing those for some time - so ET is getting the benefit of a full 12 VDC over Shocking, which uses a 9V. It any of you have both (TonyEye !)maybe try the 12V on Shocking, if you can, you should see a difference in power. If you're worried about the batteries running dry too quick, hook up a few of them in parallel (not series !!) if possible, this will maintain the voltage but provide more "battery juice". I don't think you'll need too though, the current drain is extremely low. One thing you can expect, perhaps ironically; the zaps will be stronger on a hardwood or solid floor than it will be on carpet. If you have to stand on carpet, put all your weight on the foot that has the ground connection (if any), that helps to make a more consistent connection with greater surface area. See ? I told you guys you'd feel the zap too ! I wonder if Yigal might be sending out the loops separately.
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

Alright I tried it again with the bits of paper. Well I cut the paper smaller and changed the surface, wood table not so good. The bits did move around and some did jump into my hand. Not a lot of movement but it looks mysterious as hell. Concentrate real hard and see what you can do.
I must say this is so cool and very comfortable you can forget you are wearing it. The other thing is be careful around electric items. I was messing around with it when the phone rang. Hate to have seen what would have happened if I activated it with the phone to my ear? Not good I bet, the water shock was bad enough. Use caution when around electronic items don't use the E.T. or else. Though I have yet to try this out on anyone. I love it already. It is something that you can use to enhance the magic. I have to leave for work soon and I will let you guys know how the Pro set up works tommorow. Love E.T. it rocks... I mean shocks. magicmike30

Awful? Explain..... Well, the effects look weak to me and the idea of shocking the heck out of myself at some unexpected time is REALLY something I would like to avoid. You know, to each their own. To me it is just a very, very old principal and it seems like most people are aware of static electricity and so forth. SLIGHTLY moving some bits of paper while waving your hand around it is not impressive to me, there are better ways to light bulbs, and shocking some schmoe is a horrible trick in my mind. So for me it sounds absolutley AWEFUL, but I am sure others will really enjoy it. I have said it before but that is what makes the world so great, different opinions.... one size does NOT fit all. |

I have not tried a light bulb yet with my IG...but, I suspect I will only have a chance using a florecent bulb and I will have to leave the IG on to maintain a charge.
Need more experimentation.
