It was recommended that I start using these in my work, and I think this is a good idea.
Does anybody have any suggestions on what type or brand to get, or an online shop to buy them at? Thanks for any future replies.

The sponge bunnies are great. You basically have two types to choose from. The first look like sponge cut out with a cookie cutter. The bunnies are flat pieces about 3/4" thick. The second are 3D sculpted foam bunnies. The second are my preference, but they are also the most expensive. I sell them for $15.00 The first type, I sell for $2.95.
The effect is exactly the same for each set. However, the 3D bunnies spring out of the spectator's hand better at the climax. No matter which type you get, you will find that the bunnies is one of the best close-up trick for children (and most adults) that you do. Thanks, Richard Green

The 3-D bunnies are, as Richard says, the better, if more expensive, ones.
I use the cutouts because they ARE cheaper and I go through a number of them doing table work (they get torn, lost, too dirty, etc.) But for doing them occasionally, the 3-D ones are tops. One of the advantages the bunnies have over basic sponge balls is that they don't roll off the tables. So you don't end up in the undignified position of crawling around the floor looking for a little red ball! |

If you decide to use the cookie cutter type bunnies, Doug Conn has a routine "Spongology" in his book "Tricks Of My Trade" that uses birds, fish and another "animal" as well as the bunnies. All of these other animals are made using the standard bunnie shape. This item is also marketed separately as "Animal Farm" and is based on Daryl's "Peter Rabbit Hits The Big Time".

I use a 3-D bunny to do a Rabbit in the Hat trick. Little kids just love it!

Thanks for all the replies!
I think I'll go with 3-D rabbits. They sound appropriate for what I have in mind. However, it's the Christmas shopping season, and I have almost no money to spend on magic. I guess they will have to wait. Callin, I'll order the bunnies from your site when I have the money for it. Thanks everyone! Emily B.

I used the 2D Adams set for years. It served me quite well, and if you are tight on cash is a more than adequate alternative to the pricier 3D bunnies.

I now prefer the 3D bunnies that Dan Strange from Texas sales at his website, but before that I used a routine of Chuck Smiths called "Buck and Doe" and they use the Adams set. Dan's website is

I like the new ones by Michael Ammar. They are 3D also. He even makes jumbo ones you can buy separately. I will investigate Dan Strange's.

How many bunnies do you get for your money with each type? Or is that a price per bunny?

Those are the same ones I was talking about. They are made or invented by Michael Ammar. When my customers see the bunnies, it knocks them out. The only disavantage is the noncolored white area. People can hold them many times. Some of their hands could be slightly dirty. It will make the bunnies look dirty fast. I dyed mine 100% red.

Does anyone know where I can get replacement bunnies of the same type? I have this exact same set, and like Dynamike, mine have gotten a little ragged around the ears. Otherwise I'll have to get another set.

For $15 that's not a bad deal.

Dynamike,
I don't sell the bunnies. My above post links to Denny and Lees who does sell them or click here.

Goshman now manufactures all red bunnies. I think the the brown & white ones look more like bunnies though, so I would opt for those.

When I got mine I was a little surprised that they were brown and white, since the ads and the box shows... red and white!
