I am interested in purchasing some steel core coins. In your opinion, do you think there is a great difference in quality between the ones that are mass marketed like Johnson and the custom made ones?

I have a couple of shimmed coins from Johnson and they look and work just fine.

I'm sure the custom made coins are flatter. Personally I use a Johnston coin I bought at the local magic show. They also had a sterling, seemed to be identical. I don't like the sound it makes with other coins... I only use it as a single coin or spellbound effect with my mag h*******.
