Hi,

I just saw the Marked deck, and we have to wear the special contact lense to see the mark. The set comes with the marked deck, special ink (if we need to mark our own deck) and the contact lense.
Pls. any reviews about this will very apreciated.

thanks,
CC

Hmm sounds very interesting, though not sure I would want to wear contact lenses just to be able to use a marked deck. Very cool though.

Where did you see it ?

I've seen it in a TV programme on Gambling Scams.

Quote from a poker site...

Much talk and advertisement has been about concerning "colored readers", that is, marked cards that can only be read with the use of color filtered glasses or contact lenses. While such decks are available, they are painfully obvious to the observant poker player.

Many cheating authorities mention the idea that while wearing contact lenses they always slip off-kilter to the pupil, therefore a red (the most common color) crescent will be visible on the sclera around the iris.

I bought some contact lenses for Halloween one year. Never used them again.
If they are not oxygen permeable lenses, they hurt so bad.

Just putting them in is an ordeal. Your eyes will be totally red.
Doc Zordas is right, they rotate and move around. I think there are better ways.

This kind of thing is for fast company anyway. Layman won't bust a marked deck.

Six years ago I saw it in Germany. I don't know it is made in Germany or some other countries. Packed in a wooden box without any instructions, there are two versions (low light 40w and standard light 150w) The prices are about US$30,000 for low light and $25,000 for standard light version. I don't think this is use as a magic props.

Check out this website, http://cardshark.us/ it's for pro card cheats. $30k seems like a lot of money and I guess you'd still have to be quite tasty with a deck of cards to switch them in the first place.

I`ve seen this before by a HONG KONG magician. The price at that time after conversion is USD43.80.Quite affordable if you asked me but I`m not sure whether the lenses are oxygen permeable or soft lenses. It might get REALLY uncomfartable if the lenses aren`t.

I had this a long time ago. The way to hide the red lens was by wearing semi dark glasses.

I have a juice deck, I asked him about luminous (used with glasses or contacts, he said that you cant have blue eyes for the contacts. the juice is ok I guess I used red back bees. the thing that I don't like is the farther away you are the better you see the marks, but when you look upclose you cant see a thing unless you know how to read them. and I put the juice on myself

Yes, it is still being sold, at least by Hank Lee. I have it and to me the slate is just too obvious. I've always said to me the PERFECT MARKED DECK would use the same method but with contact lenses. Talk about predicting the future. I posted that two years ago. The people who wrote in reply never said anything of such a deck existing. Who know whoever invented this deck with sontacts read my post....JUST KIDDING....lol. Why is it people ALWAYS mention the Boris Deck which I have and find very difficult to read, and others. I seem to be the only one here singing the praises of the SUM, and Demon Deck....lol...Oh Well, to each their own, Ed, (Eddiniiiiiiiii.....Oooooowwww) !!!

Hi. I think this trick sounds so deceptive, so fieeeeeendish. I find it very interesting & I'd love to own the gear.

I work for a big optician's in Britain, & spend the whole day teaching people to master the art of inserting & removing contact lenses. (Hour after hour, five days a week - it isn't as dull as it sounds). If the lens in question is a soft lens, it really isn't as difficult as mentioned above. With a bit of practice you can get it & out of your eye in just a couple of seconds.

Is the stuff available? Is it expensive.

John Cornelius put out the Dream Deck briefly, then withdrew it from the market, because he had trouble stabilizing the ink. He told me that his demo set became unreadable. Personally, I think someone switched decks on him.

Hank Lee does not have the real Dream Deck. He doesn't even list the Dream Deck on his web site.

I had the dream deck and the letters were really dull.

As I mentioned in my above post about a gambling scam, this poker player had a formula that revealed in green fluorescent colour.

They have made a LOT on that scam and the method was never revealed.

Among the other famous scams like making counterfeit casino chips, feeding a race dog before a race ect. this really cought my eye.

The real Dream Deck is very rare. I don't think John made more than a few dozen of them. The marks were HUGE, covering almost the whole back of the cards.

In general, this type of deck is not practical at all. One reason is that if the light around the table is reddish, the marks begin to show up a little. That usually puts the real gamblers off a bit.

As I know the one 30K with clear contact lenses, you don't need to wear any glasses to hide . The bee cards are digital laser marked on the surface.

Mine is red lense, so if you have blue eyes will not able to use this lense or your eyes color change.
