Craig Conley, who describes himself as 'a magic enthusiast and scholar' has put two free eBooks online that look to be very good.
The first is 'Magic Words: A Dictionary', and covers magic words and phrases associated with magic. For example, did you know the phrase 'a tip of the hat' was inspired by a performance at the Magic Castle? The second is 'Magic Archetypes: The Art Behind the Science of Conjuring', which is billed as 'a picto-poetic history of magic'. I haven't read it yet, but it sure sounds interesting. And for free, how can you go wrong? Both books are also available for purchase in printed form. (I am not associtated with this author or web site.)

Sorry, I misread the introduction because I was flipping back and forth between windows too fast. The BOOK was inspired by a performance at the Magic Castle. Sorry.
I also forgot the URL: http://www.blueray.com/magic/ And I misspelled 'associated'. *sigh* Feels like a Monday...

Thanks for clearing that up airship. I was wondering if that was really what the book said or if you had gotten mixed up somehow. Seemed a little weird to me. LOL
