Hello folks!
I am currently working on a candle act, and I don't really have much more to say than, "Where can I get Slow burning flash paper?"
I don't even know if there is such a thing, but when Lance Burton does his candle act, he touches the flame, and throws it into the air. And it falls to the ground. If you don't know what I mean, search "Lance Burton" on google video.
When I try this, my flash paper just dissapears in a very fast flash, while his goes more slowly. He can actually throw it in the air, and it falls to the ground before dissapearing. I have tried match heads, but they seem not to be working well, so if someone can help me with this, it would be muchly appreaciated.
Thank you.

There is no such thing as slow flash paper.

All dealers usually receive Flash Paper marked Demo, these are seconds that should not be sold as the best for full retail price. As to buy those packets. They will burn a little slower. Just be careful, as you don't want it to hit the carpet before it is all burned. Or you will be re-carpeting a home or business.

Another way is to let the flash paper out so it can soak up some moisture from the air. Be sure you keep the paper in a metal container with a tight lid. Only open several hours a day. If you have a dry home, then this will not work. You need moisture in the air.

I never had a problem as you mention, try giving it a little soft toss, so it arks. Without seeing what you are doing it is hard to guess if you not doing it properly.

I've never had a problem either, but I do seem to recall someone saying thicker flash paper burns slower than thinner flash paper. That kind of makes sense when you think about it...
