This dvd set sounds awsome. I love gaffed cards! and I think the price is fair too! I am especially looking forward seeing the work on mc donald's aces!

I love Simon, but Magic Makers? I'm not so sure about them and their reviews elsewhere in the Café...

Is this deck totally different than the other gaffed deck magic makers offers? Or is this a companion DVD to that deck?

Are the gaffed cards made up in Bicycle card stock? And, if so, are they red-backed or blue-backed? Yes, I know--for R/B DBs, the answer is "Yes". (grin)
Thanks for the info. Mike

It's Twisted Sisters, except it has more restrictions and it's more confusing, at least to my mind (I don't like those place-holder cards at all). Other than that I think this is a good DVD and is worth the money for the gaffs you get. |

Turk,
I just got these in for the shop last Friday and yes they are Bike stock. And there is a variety of gaffs in the deck, double facers, double backers, etc etc. Color doesn't apply to a lot of them. Joey Brummett, Yes this is a companion DVD to the deck of gaffs without instructions that Magic Makers already had out for several months. Now you get full instructions for all the gaffed cards. Also, it might be interesting to note that Magic Makers also has another full deck of gaffs they offer. Perhaps that one too will recieve a companion DVD in the future... And THANKS to everyone who took advantage of the deal I'm running! The deal is still on but ending soon.

These don't seem to be available widely in the UK yet. I managed to get a set off Ebay, I like most of Simon's work so I'm really looking forward to getting these.

Joe,
Actually Twisted Sisters was a kinda double version of B-Wave and another effect by a Japanese magician (can't remember his name at the moment though he is credited on the DVD). It also has its roots in an effect released by Davenports in the 50's. Along the way a tip of the hat must be given to Marconick's Parade of the Kings. This style of effect dates way back to Theodore Deland in the early 1900's in fact. I don't expect everybody to like my take on the effect but it suits my style of performance hence the reason for its design. I'm sure people will have favorites on the DVD's and some effects that they won't like. That's why we worked very hard to stuff as much stuff as possible on to them ... so that, hopefully, there will be something for everybody! Glad you enjoyed the rest of them though! Ryan if you are talking about the Red Deck then, yes there will be a companion DVD coming out. It has been filmed and is now in edit. All the best, Simon |

Simon,
Yes, I was referring to the red deck. I suspected there MIGHT be a dvd in the works for that one too but I didn't want to tell tales out of school. Sounds good though!

Glad that the DVD's are going down well! Chris I'm always happy to have a pint whether talking about magic or not! lol
camador I've never left magi, to the best of my knowledge anyway, but when you do most of your work in the commercial world you tend to have a slightly lower profile in the magic world! Ryan, no problem, just think of it as a pre-advert lol Simon |

I was in Fantasma yesterday, and they said all the copies had been sold out! Two days previously (Saturday) they'd still had some in stock.
So unless Fantasma got some more in today, they're currently out. Probably won't be too long before there are more. Kevin

Mercury,
I'll be taking some more in tomorrow (Wednesday) so in the afternoon they'll have it again. They seem to be moving fast though which is cool (at least for me!) Simon |
