Hey Guys thanks for the comments.
Gitty, you need Windows Media Player series 9 or better in order to watch the demo video for Gravitate. Yes Barry, we don't want people who can't perform the illusion properly to spend their money on something they cannot use. So we give that warning to those that have severe or chronic injuries to their back, neck or legs, to let them know that this street suspension might be difficult to use. But for the average person without injuries, its very very easy to perform. Thanks for watching though, and for your kind words! Best, P.

Gravitate looks pretty good, but I am not keen on the black mat. If only it could be done without it, but I love the idea of a horizontal levi. The Broom effect sounds good aswell.

Hi John, there are other routines included that allow you perform the illusion without a black mat.

Any weight restrictions for gravitate (less regarding the gimmick, and more regarding wehre the tension will be in our body)? thanks S |

The special suspension apparatus boasts no weight limits. There is a small demand from some of the performer's body muscles but nothing the average person cannot learn very quickly with very little practice. It really is easy to do. But like mentioned earlier if you have severe or chronic neck, leg or back injuries, it could make the effect more difficult, albeit not impossible, but probably more difficult, and we just want to warn people of this, so they can make the right decision when deciding on a purchase. Other than that, its pretty much geared to anyone that wants to perform this type of effect, male or female, of any age, height, weight, etc.

PKG, chill out.
Peter, thanks for the response. given the nature of the illusion concerned that it might put heavy pressure on some specific body parts, and given that I shattered my tib and fib a few years ago hiking, not sure if it would be feasible for me. As I've been back at the gym for quite a while now, and the leg presses are back where they should be, doesn't appear that it should be an issue. Wonder if I can hook it up directly to the titanium bar in my leg.... |

Can the spectators look underneath you anywhere or just the legs?can it be done in jeans and a t-shirt or baggy clothes only?and do you think this would be sutible for a big stage show?
thanks |

By the looks of it, it should not be performed on stage, I'm sure it could be adapted to the stage if audience managment was your forte (sp?) anyways, but here I am spouting off at the mouth, talking about a product I know nothing of....
Honestly though, from what I saw on the demo Peter didn't seem to float or suspend very high from the ground, it seemed only a couple inches at one point where the back and shoulders were, at least I think since the demo never really showed the underside of the shoulders....maybe I need to watch the demo again. johnny

Johnny is right, this is ment more for close up. Although it can be used on a stage, it is more effective upclose.
As for the height, I was wearing baggy cloths so the "hang" of the cloths takes away the appearance of some of the height. Baggy cloths are not required at all, its just what I was wearing, you can wear tight fitting cloths which would give you the appearance of more height. We also shot a non magician performing the trick at the end of the video and you can see clearly under his shoulders much better. Its the kind of illusion that is hard to do it justice on video tape, but when you are actually there it looks very very weird. Im not trying to fool anyone with the demo, what you see is what you get, and Im sure there will be many magicians that will have an idea of what is going on, and in that case should have a better idea of how convincing this illusion will be for laymen. The big feature is that the suspension apparatus is already built for you, its ready to go out of the box, it takes very little technical practice, and all the moves, subtleties, routines, and misdirections have all been figured out for you and explained in full detail, this is the true value of the product. Peter, your vid demo says "specs can look underneath you..." How accurate is that?
Can this be performed in living room, like at bday party where kids will definitely look underneath? |
