Hi,
I currently have my close-up magic stored in the original shipping boxes or just stacked on a bookshelf. Do you have any ideas on a nice storage box that has dividers to separate each trick? Thanks, John |

Hi John,
I have a large box which I've devided into sections using coardbord and tape; One for litterature, pamflets, notes + DVD's atc. One for supplies like glue, pins, matchboxes, rubberbands etc. One for trick I don't really use One tricks I use alot One for.. Well - you get the picture /dennis |

Portable tool boxes for electricians. Some links:

I agree...toolboxes or tackle boxes make wonderful storage boxes.
You might also check the local office supply store (Staples, Office Depot, etc...) and check out the range of file boxes that are available. There is a company called "Vaultz" that makes lots of different size boxes that could be used. Here is a link showing some that are available. They are rugged, durable and have aluminum sides and corners like musician travel cases. http://www.officedepot.com/textSearch.do......t=vaultz As mentioned, create your own dividers and your all set. My favorite close-up, walk around, case is the "locking pencil box" from Vaultz. This seems to be a seasonal item (I have only found them at Office Max) during the "back to school" sales in the Fall. I also use the Vaultz "locking cash box," which is a little larger. Good luck. Mark. |

I was at Toys R Us and bought off the clearance shelf for $7.99 an aluminum clad box with foam dividers used to store video game player and accessories. It even came with many accessories. I believe it retailed for $60.00. This box is great for many close up tricks. It even has small pocket original used for memory cards that we put coins and pocket tricks in.

Go to your local discount store and pick up a fishing tackle box. Make sure it's the kind with movable dividers. I store all my gaming stuff in one (for Pirates of the Spanish Main - Yaargh!) and it works great for close-up effects, too. Its only problem is that it really doesn't look very 'mysterious'.
