Great post, lots of cool ideas. I'm boring, though, just have a two packs of cards (throwing scrap cards, never a full deck, like me and a regular one). Like the pen through anything, though, kinda a neat effect.

I've been caught out with nothing on me a couple times now and felt quite foolish when asked to perform and wasn't ready.
I now almost always have a few rubber-bands for CMH and an Eisenhower dollar for a simple one coin routine. If I'm traveling or visiting relatives I now have a nice Brenthaven fanny pack that I've squeezed the following into: Corks (4) Rubberbands (many) Wizard Wands (like Jumping Jems only cooler) Sponge Balls Coins Just Passin Thru 18" Silk Giant TT and 6' TT Streamer String for Cat’s Cradle tricks Professor’s Nightmare Rope and scissors for Cut and Restored Rope NFW Invisible Deck Cards prepared for Card Warp Deck and folded prediction sheet for Shuffle-Bored Decks set for Diamond Jack (poker and jumbo) Pick Me/Don’t Pick Me (poker and jumbo) Kate and Edith (Jumbo) This sounds like a lot but it packs down amazingly small and lets me be prepared for just about anything from a quick close up set to a decent platform routine. I don't take this with me everywhere, but it's small enough to toss easily in the car if I think I might be asked to share some magic. |

Four halves, pen with a cap (Wilson's recapped), keys on keyring, and about a buck seventy-nine in change (quarters, dimes, nikels, and pennies) for many, varied coin effects.

I carry nothing. Just my set of house keys. With that I can remove one of them and do the Finger Blister effect.

Ahh, the joys of pickpocket magic, all you need is the audience. |

I made a post on this topic a while ago but I saw it again and reread the posts and was shocked. I used to carry a few magic items but now I don't take anything except the real mans wallet, and that is only becuase it is my wallet. after getting the on the spot and off the cuff videos as well as some other stuff I can perform magic with borrowed coins, bills, napkins, spoons, rings, buisness cards, pens, rubberbands. the way I figure if you are asked to perform magic then you should make the audience work for it a little. Plus it is more impressive to use their objects and then leave everything with them.

I carry 1 or 2 decks of cards, my wallet, and a duplicate card folded up in my shoe. So I can force card control 2nd from top, dl to show their card, snap fingers the card changes, then show their card in my shoe.

I usually have a deck of cards. If not, two rubber bands around the wrist for CMH. There's usually some change in my pockets and a bic pen. Lots of stuff from On the Spot.

Currently as I have only been doing magic for about 1 month, I only keep a pack of cards and sometimes the raven on me. although I'm not fluid with the raven yet so I only perform with that to drunk people!

I usually have a blue deck of cards with a red backed king (cross twist) on the bottom of the deck, and the vanishing deck gimmick on the top of the deck (after my routine everything is clean). Also I have my card to wallet. inside my wallet I am set up for two dollar window. In my pocket I also Have one half dollar, and only some times a penthroughdollar, the boa coin bender, and my tt.
Basically, I make it a rule to always be ready for two 10 min, high impact magic routines |

Hey,
I carry only a deck of cards, but with it I can do many effects. I also just carry cards because I like to jazz. I f a spec comes up to me and wants to see a trick, I pull out my cards and make stuff up on the spot. This is a lot of fun. greydon

Read an article in either Genii or Magic in which Alan Alan reawoke a good oldie, the hook coin but using a larger than normal and heavier than normal coin which gives a much better handling than the old penny, so I haver started having this with me. I am never without cards, I have decks everywhere, car, pockets, my wifes handback, just never caught out.

I don't carry a lot. No cards, but a nail clipper to make corner shorts in a borrowed deck (used judiciously!); my own large Chinese coin and rope routine; three half-dollars and an "ancient Roman" coin (heck, it might even be real); a handkerchief (clean); a lens for a certain coin trick I love; a small pocket knife; a book of matches, and sometimes now I take along Color Monte. Oh, yes, a pair of dice.
