The Magic Apple is the place to go. I won't shop at Hollywood Magic anymore after they tried to sell me knock-off's of Masuda's WOW. Many of their items are overpriced, but they do have a nice selection.

Is that true? But all I know is Hollywood Magic when I paid my visit to LA around same time last year after a decade from my college graduation.

Still it is one of the best in the west coast area... a nice place to hang out before your evening visit in the Magic Castle.
Most memorable moment - with Maestro Juan Tamariz & Consuelo Lorgia in FISM Busan 2018.

It's true. Let me start by saying it was the first shop I visited a few years ago after the bug bit me the night before at the Castle. I bought a set of linking rings and Mark Wilson's Complete Course book. So every time I was out there I'd stop in and hang out for a while. Last time I was there, I walked in and the guy was demo-ing WOW for a kid. I said, I love that effect, use it all the time. The guy says, "how much did you pay for it" and I said about 55 bucks. He said, well this one is only 30 and is exactly the same! And I said, is it Masuda's? And he said "NO, but it's just as good." I don't know that it's that big of a deal, certainly not the first time a magic shop has sold knock-off's, but I didn't expect it from them.

The Magic Apple in Studio City is the best! And they just hooked up with Earth magic online and have become even more of a great source. Brent the owner is a real nice guy (for a Canadian:) ) and they have great lectures there all the time, too.
