This effect looks quite similar to Jhon LeClair's hook up.
Anyone buying this, please review. |

How many diffeent ways can you float a card? I do a card float that works great for me! All you need is one set up, pratice it and make it work for you!

Well here some info the card can rise off the deck in the same manner.
A card can be waved over and under when it floating. You can even use a borrowed deck. Your left clean before and after with instant reset. To me even though it mine and eric company that's sells it I truly do think this is the best method out there to this date. As you can see all that has got Real Floating Card loves it cause what we say it is.is exactly what you get. Michal Mystic |

Well let me ask you one question Michal.
How long is the set-up and is there any lighting limitations involve? Steve Fearsons Original Floating Cigs took me about 5-10 mins to set-up then it's instantly resetable after that. Thank you.

To be honest you only need to set up once. The whole day then, you have instant reset after any time you do it.

The gimmick is very, very easy to make. As MichalMystic says, you set up once a day and you can reset whenever you like. The setup can be done while the spectator is examining the deck, and they won't even notice what you are doing. The clean up is undetectable, and, yes, the spectator can take the card while it is levitating, though I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
The creator of the effect is Alex Markov. You can email him at theday12701@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

When you say the setup is done only once a day, presumably it's not a walk about effect but needs to be performed standing in the same place?

Could the spectator wave their hand under the card and over the card?

The card doesn't really float high enough for the spectator to wave their hand underneath it. They can wave their hand above the card wherever they would like and won't find a thing. In the preview, while the card hovers above the deck, the guy performing it grabs the top card on the deck and waves it underneath the floating card to show that nothing is propping it up. While you can give the card to the spectator to do this, I wouldn't recommend it.
Seeing is believing. You don't have to work to hard with this one to convince your spectator that the card is actually floating. Man, what an amazing levitation. I wish I had thought of it!

Yes you could do if standing in one place as the instant reset is also invisble you just relax and your set up.

Oh, I forget to mention that, after performing it and cleaning up, you can walk around, go where ever you want and be able to set up again in the same fashion. You could perform it in your living room, clean up, then immediately go out into the street and do the exact same thing.
Hope this helps.

So how heckler-proof is the trick? I'll probably be performing this trick for the same person twice or three times and I can bet you they'll try to snatch the card while it's floating.
Also can I perform this trick about a feet away from the specs in a broad daylight without them noticing the prop?

All this talk plus the video, has told me how to do it. Folks, you should be a little more careful about how you talk. Do not worry mystic, I will not be using the effect, exposing it or ripping you off. I have purchased Melt and while the effect is good the price is a little high. I expect that both of these will be exposed soon on some site or another. I just hope that you will make some money before then. To the rest who keep asking questions, if you really like the effect and cannot fathom it out, don't keep asking questions, support the magician who invented it and BUY IT !!!

I'm going to go out on a limb here, because this same question is being repeated over and over and it's going to keep being asked until someone answers it. I consider it to be a reasonable question and not exposure.
Yes, the Real Floating Card uses IT, but in a way that you would NEVER expect. It's a great method, I recommend it highly.

I went ahead and purchased the download from expertmagic.com , and I must say I'm impressed. Video instruction is well produced and the levitation clearly explained. This is simply a great effect and I appreciate the thought that went into it. And I just love how quickly it can be reset. RFC will definitely be added to my repertoire. Well done!
