I'm doing a research on the different diameter size of the cups available in the market today. And I would like to document the inner and outer diameter of all available cups.
Since I do not own that many cups set I would not have the opportunity to measure the inner and outer diameters. I would appreciate very much if cups owners could help me on this - to post the information on this thread based on - 1) Name of Cup 2) Name of Maker 3) Outer Diameter - in millimeters 4) Inner Diameter - in millimeters Thanks a million, in advance. |

Why don't you start with the measure of the cups you already have?

I already have the measurement for my own cups. What I am trying to do is to find out the measurement of as many cups out there in the market.

James,
The dimensions are taken at the mouth of the Cup at the bead. All dimensions are in inches. Some of the Cups listed may not be currently manufactured, however they will surface from time to time on the used market. Maker / Style I.D. O.D. James,
Oopps! I did not read everything. Here is the same list in millimeters. The dimensions are taken at the mouth of the Cup. James:
Any time you want to fly to Houston to measure my cups, you are more than welcome. I'll even put you up here at the house. I have too many cups to measure.

James,
My collection is rather small when compared to http://cupsandballsmuseum.com , however, there are many Cups I have that I did not measure. The reasons for not measuring other sets are: (1) They are long out of production (antiques). (2) The dimensions are very similar to what is on the list. If I can be of further assistance let me know. I am happy that I could provide some information of use to you. Best Regards, Bill Sutter |

Can you guys put the prices and website where they're available, please?
http://www.rnt2.com/product.aspx?productno=3 Anyone know what the biggest load this can have, such as a baseball, tennis ball, etc.?

The I.D. of the mouth on a Foxy II is about 2.02".

2.02" means you can load a golf ball, but nothing bigger.

The golf ball on my desk is 1.675" in diameter, so the Foxy II's will take an object .345" larger than a golf ball. High-bounce balls come to mind, with Smiley faces on them.

What does I.D. mean?
Sorry if I come off stupid, but I don't know these things. Is that in inches? What's the biggest a 2 1/2 mouth and 2 3/4 in height load can have, such as a ball, or baseball, or etc.?

I.D. is "Inner Diameter". That's the size you're most concerned with when it comes to load size.
All the rest of the info has been posted here many times before.
