Words cannot adequately convey my emotional response to that clip.

My eyes hurt.
Some think Houdini used trap doors in his act, but he was just going through a stage.

Wow.....guess they were out of clothing at the yard sale..Sorry that was way to harsh...Just not my style of performing...Maybe a nice shirt and a real pair of pants...Wow...What can you really say. Really needs some work.

Ummmm... yeah... let me try to review that video without brutally assualting the performer with insults.
CONS: (1) That costume needs a lot of work. No, actually, that costume needs to be burned. A whole new costume is needed. No one would want him performing like that unless they were blind... which, wouldn't make much sense in the first place... (2) Why does the soundtrack sound like an 8-bit Nintendo game? Midi files of classic rock songs? (3) The Bin Ladin to an American Flag thing was tasteless, IMO (4) The dancing and hypnotic jiggling was too distracting from the effects (5) I won't even go into the lighting, production, and all other aspects of this video. I'll just pray I never see it again. PROS: None Overall rating: If there was such a thing as "negative infinity stars" this video would be the first to achieve that rating. But I'll keep this realistic and say 0 out of 5 stars. -The Conjuror- |

I love that he's using the Guitar Pro audio of Guns 'N Roses "Welcome To The Jungle." He couldn't have at least used the actual song? Oh well, that was enough entertainment for one day.

Devlin's Bio:
With his combination of Magic, Rock & Roll, and social commentary, Devlin quickly developed a diverse following. Playing major gigs throughout his home state and few neighboring ones too, Devlin has honed his craft. It wasn’t long until Devlin became one of the most requested opening acts on the rock bar circuit. Soon the magic world caught wind of Devlin. Along with being ***invited to join the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood California, Devlin submitted his act to F.I.S.M, the world’s most prestigious Magic competition held in Europe. ***** Closer to home, Devlin’s “Magic that Rocks” tour has just wrapped up its North American leg and there are major plans to take the show international. In the meantime Devlin is currently writing “Magicopolos,” the first ever Rock/Magic Musical about a boy torn between rock music and magic. Based loosely on his life, Devlin intends to take Magicopolos Off Broadway in the Fall of 2007. Join his freind's list to be notified when tickets go on sale and for upcoming tour dates! |

This has to be a joke. I believe that's why he used the ring tone type music. It was all pretty well thought out as a gag...I hope.
On his MY Space page he says he submitted this act to FISM. Rich B. |

It gives hope to all who want to do magic. If this is the quality needed to be invited to join the magic castle, then I have nothing to worry about doing children's parties!

I'm not sure what's wrong with the video - it has rock & roll, a unique personality, and dancing. I thought it was a well thought-out program that would be a winner in any venue, for all ages.

To be perfectly honest, he is on par with the majority of the magicians I have seen at IBM and SAM meetings.
