I chuckled, and read this as a funny response to my offer to send you a booklet gratis. It's fine. All good. No hard feelings. =)

Youtube: How to do a Faro Shuffle, oboy, I like to link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbfJ7oTh5qA

More info about Faro Shuffle:

Etymology

There are several theories to the etymology of Pharaoh in regards to the card game from which the shuffle took its name:
•Historians have suggested that the name Pharaoh comes from Louis XIV's royal gamblers who called the game pharaon because of the motif that commonly adorned one of the French-made court cards.
•Another idea traces the name to the Irish word fairadh, pronounced "fearoo", meaning "to turn". It could have been brought to England and France through the mass emigration from Ireland.
•There may have been a French brand of cards called Pharaoh popular in the 1800's. I've been unable to locate any specific information about these, however.

Alex Elmsley provided the terms "in-faro" and "out-faro."

Card Magic USA eBook.

Hold‘em Stack:
The following idea is a Hold’em stack for seven or eight hands with one Faro Shuffle. It is designed to fool a card man.

Never seen it done so slow. What do you think, as faro expert, is the advantage of doing it so slowly?

Hello faro lovers!!! I'm super super happy to anounce you that after 4,5 years of the publication of mi first book on the faro I translated it into english so I can share with all of you my work there I talk about the best effects I found on the literature of faro and mi versions, and lot of ideas and even principles I developed Smile I'm a faro CRAZY if you are intrested on the material just pm me or email nicolasmtg@gmail.com I will put it on my web nontricks.com but if you cant wait I can send it to you Smile

the price for mi SON is 35 dollars bafore I publish it on mi web after that its gonna raise a bit.

here is what LUIS OTERO SAYS IN THE PROLOGUE Smile

Prologue

"I want to practice the faro shuffle by doing it with my hands in a container full of dangerous insects in order to get used to the pressure.” Those were the first words I heard from the author of these notes, so I realized he was crazy. However, as sanity isn’t abundant in the world of magic, we instantly became friends.
Those who know me are aware that I love the faro, but I rarely find other people who share that feeling with me. Nicolás is one of those people, and he is not ashamed of it. Between the lines of this treatise, you will find the result of many hours of trial, study and practice. And, if you take the time and look more closely, you will realize this book is really a symbolic faro of knowledge.
If you already master the faro, you will find very useful information here. If you still don’t, then you will surely get really excited when you find out the many wonders you can do with it.
It’s a pleasure to see people share everything they’ve achieved. Without a doubt, that’s one of the most beautiful things about magic, and Nicolás does so in a very generous manner. We can just encourage him to keep doing it for the sake of our art. LUIS OTERO 2010

PS:my name is nicolas pierri if you wanna add me to talk about faros that's my fb Smile

This is the best thing I've read in so long.

What an amazing list, thank you for this resource. I'm sure every other comment in this thread is like this (minus a bit of drama, hey talking about Faro's can be exciting too, right?) but I just had to say it.

Great list, I love the Faro shuffle. Learned it in Close up Card Magic by the Man, the Myth, the Legend, Harry Lorayne.

If you're a faro fanatic like me, be sure to check out a manuscript I released couple of days ago about a trick that will fool everyone who haven't bought it yet! Smile

It's available here: http://inbetween.michalkociolek.pl

Here are some quotes:

"Bravo! Your original "In Between" is just marvelous, but the "supercharged" version would have, without question, thoroughly fooled the pants off me if you had simply performed it for me." -- Jack Carpenter

"What Jack Carpenter said!" -- Tomas Blomberg

Not only this routine (and its variations) will badly fool people, but you will also badly fool yourself the 1st time you do it. Welcome to the very clever magic of Michal Kociolek." -- Jean-Jacques Sanvert

"My seething hatred for Michal's genius can be best explained by the contents within these pages. This trick is just way too clever - you will fool yourself doing it the first time, and actually every time after that as well." -- Harapan Santoso Ong

"Michal Kociolek specializes in incredibly clever stacked deck effects which always possess methods of labyrinthian beauty. His manuscript, In Between, is in this line, and features several versions of a very unique effect: a card merely thought of appears sandwiched between two other cards." -- Bob Farmer

Mike

Paul Gertner’s Unshufflling the Faro Shuffle DVD taught someone (me) who had never done a faro shuffle to be able to do 8 perfect faro shuffles in a row with about 1-2 hours of practice. His attention to every minute detail (hand/finger positions, separating halves, bringing the halves together, interweaving, etc.) is immaculate. What a great teacher.

I was actually able to perform “Unshuffled” for my wife tonight and she was floored. Oh, and I got the DVD/deck last night.

If you’ve struggled with learning the faro shuffle or never attempted to learn but want to, I highly recommend picking up Unshuffling the Faro Shuffle by Paul Gertner.
