This guy really got around - not only because of his own longevity, but because he sold his act and props to at least one other performer.

If you think Sylvester the Jester is anything new, watch A. Robins' character ATHE BANANA MAN (maybe you remember seeing him on CAPTAIN KANGAROO). If you don't get at least one good idea from him, you're not watching.

I just saw this video the other day (someone had it on myspace) and the first thought I had was Sylvester the Jester.

We can all learn a lot and get influence from past entertainers and build on our own technique. Many of those comedic performers of past did not have books to learn from and writers to provide their material and they set the foundation for all of us to build on and become better at what we do. It's there. If we just do a little research, we're sure to find it.
