Can someone please explain to me how the chosen card gets to the right place. I can't for the life of me figure out how this happens. Yet it does.

'Sunken Key Principle' is the name of the principle, not the name of a sepcific trick. What trick are you refering to?

Yes, hence my question about the sunken key principle not a specific trick. I just don't understand how this can possibly always work.

'Sunken Key Card Principle' is to use a Key Card not situated next to selected card(s) or target card(s). So I can't tell you why it works if you won't explain, at least, one example effect you would like to know how it works.
Your question seems as same as asking "Why Key Card Principle' always work? Hideo Kato Posted: May 6, 2007 10:10am When your question is vague, you can't expect good answers. If you kindly describe the effect of one trick using Sunken Key Card princile, I will try to explain how the principle work. Or, are you talking about S-D location? If so, Sunken Key is not the main principle, but Free Cut Principle is doing the main work. Hideo Kato |

One trick that uses this principle is X Marks the Spot by Nick Trost this works on a mathematical principle which will become clearer when you learn the trick which is a self worker from the card magic of Nick Trost and has been published on its own in a small booklet.
