I think this routine is the creation of Dan Garrett. If it is, it should have been credited, in my opinion. It's on one of his videos.

Hi Frank,

Could be. I believe this *may* be the only video I have seen on the gozinta boxes. I was thinking of it as a way to get into a regular sponge ball routine. Then I was thinking...hmmm....I suppose you could so something with money changing...Then I thought about...well, you could probably write some sort of eerie notes from some spirit or something...Now I'm sort of working on a routine about "Those Blasted Tribbles@!#$@!" which goes back to the sponge balls, and have thought of incorparating a small pair of those wind-up teeth to get rid of them or for some sort of punch line.

***Actually, just reading some of Pete Biro's posts on other topics just sort of make you creative, I guess. People with lots of experience and who generally helpful and giving to the magic community just never really know who they help. Thanks, Pete. ;-)
Magically yours,

Ten Years After, here's the answer: I (Dan Garrett) didn't create the routine in question with sponge balls and gozinta boxes, although I have used it a lot. The creator is Allan Hayden.
Dan Garrett (:}D)
S.A.M. National President 1994-1995
MIMC - Member of the Inner Magic Circle w/Gold Star
Obie's FFFF Board of Directors/Guest of Honor (w/Gene Anderson)
