In any event - if this "kid" is designing illusions of this quality at 16, then he may very well have a long and bright career ahead of him. At the very least he should be given all the encouragment humanly possible.

Let's face it, there's a lot of us in my age group that were inspired by Richiardi's Buzz Saw and the end result of our work has inspired tons of young sadistic minds out there, to do the same and go beyond that depth. Macabre shows work... maybe not in L.A. where things "Must Be" peaches & cream all the time, but in other parts of the world (and this country) the dark stuff, done with a high degree of tongue-n-cheek nodding, is becoming the "commercial" trend... or so it would seem (admittedly, not so much with the "corporate" client types... but with consumers, yes in deed!) Mystique is being brought back into our art... that's what the public wants. The success of David Blaine has lent to each of us, reason to reconsider the "Disney" attitude when it comes to doing shows.

Well... I'm known for being cheap and easy so I'll settle for that lunch we've been trying to get together on... maybe a few drinks...
How are you on Haunted House stuff? (I don't mean rubber monsters, more like Seance Jim Williams type stuff.)
