I'm interested in a Cube Zag and would like some info on it. Does
someone claim the "rights" to the effect? Does some builder have "exclusive building rights"? If I make substantial changes in design and or function, will I then be in the clear regarding such rights. Any advice regarding these question will be appreciated. Thanks, Beaudini

I think, that if you make changes it won't be a problem. I am interested in knowing where you have taken the plan of this illusion?

Cube Zag was created by Gunther Puchinger and is built in the U.S. by Chalet. You should talk to George Kimmery about ideas you may have. I am not doubting your building talents, but I have yet to see any version of Cube Zag that does the illusion justice, except for Chalet's.

I agree with Kevin 100%. Chalet's version is still the best. It is well worth the money invested.

Johnathan David Bass has a model from Chalet that he put a head top box on top so you see the head the whole time.
The Juke Box design that George does is real cool as well. You step on the toes of a few people if you build it yourself. Go with a used Chalet. I don't think you know all that goes into the illusion to think you could build it yourself.

"substantial changes in design and function"
Is it the same illusion then??? Zigmont: Messages bounced at both e-mails due to "return address refused" and also "possible spam". Straight to you and through the Café system! - Blair Blair Marshall "ShaZzam!" Beaudini, a friend of mine just got back from "down South" and stopped at Chalet on the way. Visited George and his shop, they were busy putting a Cube Zag together. My friend who also builds was very impresed with the amount of work, effort and thought that went into this prop and the finishes that George offers. Based on his appraisal I wouldn't consider building one, or something similar, without some hard shopping for an "original" Chalet. Blair Marshall "ShaZzam!"
