My condolence to Francis's family... for a sort while we would PM about Cups and then I did not hear from him; I am sorry to hear this news.

Does anyone know of an obituary for Francis? I've looked, but not been able to find one.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I've just heard. This is sad news indeed, Francis was a wonderful person. He put a great deal of good out into this world, that's my idea of heaven... how people remember you.
Rest in peace Francis. Bri |

Hi, I wonder if you still have Jay Sankey's Magus Capsule?
I have a huge Sankey Collection and REALLY want this. Would you be willing to sell it? I'm super willing to negotiate a price. -G |

I have not looked at this thread for a while.
Francis Ng was a real asset to the cups and balls community. He was a kind man and a generous one. He donated many sets of cups to the museum with the stipulation that he remain anonymous, due to the nature of some of his donations. I miss him -- not for the donations of cups, but for the way his mind worked. He was a good fellow. I wish I'd had the opportunity to meet him face-to-face.

Also sad to hear the news. I believe I sold him a rare set of cups. He was very generous.
The main reason I'm writing is to remind us all of his signature at the bottom of all his messages. Carpe Diem, Seize The Day! I'm glad to see that he did. We should remember to do the same. |

Carpe Diem was also the name of his chain of pre-schools in Singapore. Great name for that purpose as well!

Speaking of which, has anyone heard any news about James Tong, who used to post here?

I've thought of James Tong too. Would also love to know if he's ok. I certainly hope he is.
