I would like to get into loops but they're very expensive. I've looked into tieing my own loops and the million dollar knot looks good. does anyone know of a better loop tieing method?

The million dollar knot might be your cheapest route to go. You will get a spool of thread to tie hundreds of loops, a download on how to tie loops, plus a download of 5 effects using loops.

Id personally just stick with YMesika's loops. Tying them could be a hassle if you've just started, the million dollar knot in my opinion is NOT a good way of tying a loop. Just get used to loops and you'll be spending a lot less money on them once you find out how to NOT break them

I don't know if there is an "easy" way to tie a loop. I have the patients but my fingers seem the size of giant redwoods and my eyesight is much lacking when it comes to tying a loop. Like Jonxodus I prefer Mesika's loops, and agree that with practice you do not break them as much, in fact it isn't unusual for me to wear the same loops on my wrist for more than a week. There is a guy in another of the forums who is talking about a "trinity" loop that he claims is easier to tie, but who knows. Ron Jaxon has a vid on making loops, don't know his tie. But I thought tying ultra light monofiliment fishing line was tough till I tried tying loops. Good luck.

For me, the Million Dollar Knot takes about 10-15 seconds. Very, very easy.
I can tie a dozen while watching the morning headlines. |

The million dollar knot is great for cost effectiveness - if you have the time and patience. It's great for a beginner with the stuff.
