Hello, just wanna ask of various people how many coins they can classic palm.

I only can palm 4 coins, when I tried 5 coins it just drop. My hands are small compare to magician's hands in the west. Even the chips I received from Daryl's 3 Fly III (silver dollar size) I can't classic palm.

I watched the coinvention DVD and noticed that Reed McClintock can Classic Palm 6 coins. hehehe, now that's alot.

So, how many coins can you classic palm?

Okay, but remember, don't waste your time just on weird technical things to impress other magicians. Ramsay never used classic palm and was one of the best. Kainoa Harbottle rarely ever uses classic palm and I know you're looking into his work. I can classic palm 4, but they release in chunks, with 3 I'm just fine on both hands, but I only have one routine that uses classic palm. Good luck,

Pete

I use classic palm most of the time ,not very good though in my left hand at

palming, maybe I should practice more with my left .

most I can do in my right hand is 5 kennedy halfs, which I don't use often I prefer dollar sized and can only palm 3 morgans. But I woulden't make a point of going for numbers really !there are sleights if one is not that good at palming that you can substitute for most moves.
I tend to think trying to palm too many coins just makes the hand not as natural, but and I say but ,there is some coin guys on here that can do this without a problem and it does look natural but not for me lol.

p.s my hands are not that big either ,it can be a bit hard at times with small hands but practice, and you will eventually suceed.
If you put the time in....you will achieve ...

3 securely in my right hand and 1 securely in my left. (Half dollars)
I haven't really practiced palming multiple coins.

Lower finger palm on the other hand... the coin falls out all the time. Smile

With my 5' 5" hands I can comfortably palm and release one at a time for other functions 5 or 6 coins. Some days it is 5 some it is 6..
Of course this also depends on the size..

This summer I have been playing with the extension of use of different size coin productions..and mini effects before bringing out new set of coins....

from palm..dime, penny, nickle, quarter, washer, english penny, half dollar..

I know that is 7 but the thickness varies...

It is not the size of the hand but the connection with another person/spectators..synaptic response on the neurotransmitter level..can you say sertonin.....(huh??? and get your spell czech out Harris...said Nigel the puppet that rocks and talks)

On Reed McClintock's Coin Ovations DVD the first routine has him palming 7 coins. They were Barber Coins though and like David said they are thinner than regular coins.

Above post on palming coins remind me of the set I got from Torkova(sic??)

A stack of 20 very thin disc...can be produced one at a time..

for what they lack in sound when dropped they do pick up the lights very well.

>>>maybe I should practice more with my left<<<

I believe it was Dr R that suggested to me in another topic practicing evenly with both R and L and since then my left is about 80% and getting stronger!

One good sleight I think that would be very helpful and to your advantage to be ambidextrous in, is the classic palm. Not absolutely necessary, but a good idea. So, to answer your question Mickey, yes.....

With those sized hands, I'm surprised you can only palm 5 or 6 coins. Maybe they're too small for you
