What's the effect called where you show a glass of black paint, then insert a tongue depressor into the paint and pull it back out to show the paint on the tongue depressor. Then you place the glass of paint inside a bag or cover it with a handkerchief (I think there are different versions), pull the glass out of the bag or remove the handkerchief and the glass of paint has changed to pure water with a live fish swimming in it? Thanks for any help.

Ink to Goldfish. You'll find it described in Hoffmann's "Modern Magic" as early as 1876, so it is much older than that.
